As the day dawned a single day after he was initiated, Aster wandered the halls of the Okumura mansion. He had to get up early for his first day of training, especially after Edward's warning yesterday afternoon.
"Fucking bastard.", he mumbled as he walked down the long corridors. All he was given was an assigned room, room 114, designated for Rou's squad. Eventually, he reached the door to the room and swung open the doors.
"So you're the new comrade the boss mentioned, considering how he described your power, you look pretty boring if you ask me, I'm disappointed.". A hooded young man with red hair approached Aster.
"Tch, disappointed? Not surprised? Everyone seems to be, but the people of Okumura seem to be surprised. But seeing as you're a part of Rou's little minions. You seem to think differently.". The boy stares at Aster, giving a look of underestimation. "What I mean to say is, you don't look like the type to have great power. I saw you on your arrival before I had to rush of to do an assignment, you look pretty weak if you ask me. But Rou's never wrong so I'll just have to wait and see. I'm Demitris, nice to meet you.".
Aster remained speechless, could this be, acceptance? On further analysis of Demitris, to him at least, he looked as if he too was strong, but unlike him, he seemed built for crime. Recognition from him was more important than any of the regime could imagine.
"Excuse me sir, but why do you listen to the boss's judgement? He's just an 18 year old kid with somewhat powerful ice abilities if you ask me, not a leader. Just a sodding tryhard.", said A young child who looked about twelve who went to pester Aster from behind Aster simply responded by chuckling. "You're a little young yourself, pipsqueak, I don't think you'd be much better.".
The young girl seemed very provoked by Aster's statement. "HEY! I've been a soldier longer than you! How dare you look down on your superior!". Aster was barely phased. "Please, we're of the same rank, don't get so self absorbed." He turned to Demitris, "Does this little gremlin have a name?".
"That's Tamara, she's the youngest in the group so she's often hard to communicate with. Immaturity if you ask me...". Aster took a little time to read the room, around him were 9 people, Demitris and Tamara included, but Rou was nowhere to be seen. He approached the tall looking man with green hair and sat beside him to inquire where he was.
"Hey tall ass, where's the boss? Should he be here by now?", the man looked up."Rou? He's normally the last to arrive, he believes it beneficial for us soldiers to socialise before training. Makes us work better as a team and I certainly respect him for that.". To Aster, it seemed like Rou had every session prepared from start to finish and this man had memorized this to the letter.
"I'm Leon and I'm glad to have a new member of the team. Trust me when I say that Rou will certainly get you used to life around here, he's more well versed than our previous capo, no matter what naysayers like to believe.". As a new soldier, this new world seemed pretty tough to get used to, Leon's comment put him at ease.
As soon as Leon had finished talking, footsteps were heard in the corridors. Could it be Rou? Before he could see anyone, Aster noticed a silver staff with a sapphire atop its head being flung right at him, he managed to dodge in time, but he became so confused. Is another capo training them today? With only one way to find out as soon as possible, Aster ran towards the door
