(Thanks for reading up to my 150th chapter!)
Vox had been eavesdropping, waiting for the right moment to strike. He had been listening to the ultimate vows of his opposers, the crying out of their desires, the cries of the oppressed, who had been his tools for so long. But now, it was time to strike. "I'm going to kill him!", shouted Fleur. None of the rebels had any idea what to do next, only that they were Vox's targets. "Now who do I deal with first?", Vox questioned to himself while grinning at his opponent.
"You won't be apprehending any of us on my watch!", Aster called out, but Fleur pulled him back before he could get too reckless. "We don't know his next move, stay put.", she whispered. The rebels then began to gather themselves, trying to formulate a plan, "We need to think of a way to stop him.", said Sulena. "I'm not sure we have any other choice.", said Aster. He leaned towards Vox and charged at the green man, but Vox grabbed the boy immediately.
"Aster, don't do this!", pleaded Fleur. "You can't kill him!", she yelled. "I'm going to do this!", he yelled back. "You can't, he has you in his grip!", cried Fleur. "Think about this Aster, we don't know his ability.", said Demitris trying to reason with him. "The half blind child is right, you have no idea what I can do!", enthused Vox. "You're right, I'm can't to kill him alone, but we have manpower now.", said Aster. "What's manpower going to do to save someone I already have right where I want?!", Vox declared before pulling out a wand from his coat.
"No!", cried Sulena, but Aster wasn't afraid at all. He raised himself up and gnawed at the green man's hand, who didn't even flinch. "Aw! Biting isn't fun kid...", he remarked as aimed the item of concentrated power below his opponent. The floor subsequent to Aster began to gain the appearance of a green glow that grew and grew, eventually becoming a large hole. "Goodbye, Aster Orocha...", said Vox as he shook off the boy, who upon making contact with hole, fell inside.
"ASTER!!", Fleur screamed, she attempted to jump in as well, but the hole vaporised on her impact. "Where has he gone?!", she desperately enquired. "Somewhere I should've sent him months ago.", answered Vox. Fleur's tears began to flow with uncertainty, and Craaq swifty went to comfort her, but couldn't help but watch Vox being proud of himself. The disgust of the team was felt throughout the room, but the fae was too excited to be concerned, this was but a fraction of his plan.
"I'll get my revenge!", he exclaimed. "No one will stop me!", he laughed. "I'll show everyone what I can really do.", he added. "You can't do this, this syndicate isn't yours!", screamed Demitris. "Watch me make it mine!", declared Vox. He opened the door, letting in Lin and Kiara. "Very impressive Vox, now let's end this!", commented Lin. "Just one thing we have to do to get these guys out of our way. There were three people you worried about, correct?", Kiara questioned. She rose up her hands, releasing her vines and restraining Demitris as tightly as she could.
"Go on without me!", said the auburn haired boy desperately wanting the others to escape without this burden. "What about you?", asked Viper. "My business is here, I can fight them from the inside.", he stated. "What confidence!", reflected Vox. "Too bad it'll be ignited to smitherines by tomorrow.", added Lin. "Don't be so sure you can beat me, I've still got a score to settle with you, and I'm sure Rou has too.", responded Demitris.
"This boy has no idea what's going on.", chuckled Lin. Vox gave his next orders, "Kiara, take Demitris to the deepest part of the mansion, and don't let him escape!", he commanded. "Yes sir!", replied Kiara. The teal haired girl dragged the one-eyed boy out of the room and was gone before his allies could launch a counterattack. "Wow, this really is getting real...", remarked Shiva at the current display. "Shiva, watch out!", emphasised Fleur.
Lin directed his flames toward the group, "You better leave this place or I'll burn you all!", he scowled. "Do you think mere banishment is going to get rid of us?!", Sulena yelled. "You're not needed anymore.", Vox declared. Fleur went to charge at the green man, but Lin blocked her with his flames. "There's no other option, we have to flee!", she ordered. The rebels ran out of the office, one by one, defeated.
"I can't let it end like this...", Fleur said while running. Craaq and Sulena caught up with her, "It won't, trust me.", reassured Craaq. "This is simply a brief retreat, we shall return for round two very soon.", added Sulena. "I-I don't know if I can do it without Aster...", cried the elf girl. "I'm afraid that's our only choice...", commented Viper as respectfully as she could. "I know Aster, and he wouldn't stand for this either. He's probably fighting at full strength wherever he went right now.", allayed Shiva.
However, little did anyone else know, it was going to be incredibly difficult for Aster to get back, as his destination was somewhere so far from the Okumura Syndicate, that the only way he could get back was through a magical ability, and the probability of finding one was next to none. Aster's current location was bleak, yet familiar, recognisable, but unthinkable. The next part of his journey was going to tear him to the core.
