It was 3 days since the decision to infiltrate the hideout of the traitorous associate was made. Both Rou's squad and Fleur's squad, as well as Edward had been making preparations since that day. However, Edward's anxiety, though barely visible, reflected on his face.

"Babe, you sure you're good going out in the field after 5 whole years?", asked Vox, concerned. "I'm sure it's nothing, you know me.", the vampire answered, slightly hesitant. Vox simply sighed at the stubborn demeanor of his lover. Trying to calm him down, he wrapped his arms around the boss.

"Only you would know what I was really feeling. You're so silly and immature at times but I love you more than anyone else, Vox.", Edward returned Vox's embrace and pulled him closer. They remained entwined in each other's arms for an entire minute before letting go. "Say Vox, how are those drug cartels doing down at the bar?", asked Edward.

"They're doing great Eddie! We have some great clients, and no civilians suspect a thing, especially with the recent addition of some of our members providing entertainment. Most people just assume we're a regular business.", Vox declared delightly to his boyfriend. "So there's nothing I need to worry about while I'm gone I'm guessing?", Edward enquired. "Nope, nothing at all.", responded Vox.

Edward kissed Vox on the cheek before heading down to breakfast, the high ranking members were waiting for him before they ate their food. "It was very polite of you all to wait for me, but in this place there's no need for formalities unless it's strictly for business.", announced Edward. On hearing his word, everyone at the table began to eat breakfast.

At the opposite end of the table to Edward, discussing strategy were caporegime, Rou and Fleur. The two were engrossed in making sure that the raid goes smoothly, working close together, showing their newly reformed friendship. "So we agree that we'll be in 4 groups?", asked Rou. "Yes, some of your soldiers can handle it, right?", replied Fleur.

"Yes, I believe they can, especially Aster, my new recruit.", Rou said with confidence. "I don't know what you see in him, who trusts a guy who fell out of the sky? He could hurt Sir Edward!", Fleur blubbered. "You'd be surprised, he's had a slightly better opinion of you lately.", Rou stated, leaving Fleur in shock. "I know, I'm just as surprised as you. I'm still going to hammer it home that we can trust him though.", Rou continued to remark.

Edward called over to the other side of the table, getting Rou and Fleur's attention; both of them walked over to him. "I noticed that both of you have been coming up with a plan for the pursuit.", Edward asks. "Yes Sir, yes we have! Want to see?", Fleur declares. Rou rolls out a map of the area covered in annotations that he and Fleur have made.

"The plan is that we split into 4 groups of 4 with one group being a squad of 5. The first group will contain myself, Demitris and 2 of my other soldiers, the second will have Fleur and her combat sector, the third will be a group of my soldiers, led by Aster, as I believe he's proven himself. That leaves the last group being the remainder of the soldiers and you, Sir", Rou explained the whole operation thoroughly.

"Seems good you two! The only qualms I have is letting the intruder have a group of his own, but I trust your judgement. Please inform your squads at once!". The two capos headed to the soldiers' cafeteria to give the news. Aster was awaiting them, but how would he react when he finds out he has his own group?
