After Everything

Chapter 5

I just realize that life wasn't the way we expected it. So here I am, thinking that maybe those written in the books might be true. I know I am overly dramatic sometimes but how can you blame me? I am living in this real world wherein I don't know what is really happening around me. I do not know what lies under and above me. I am blind in this world I thought I know. Damn. This situation makes me think of the impossible.

"What are you thinking?" Inabala ng isang iced coffee ang pag-iisip ko. Tinignan ko kung sino ang nag-aabot ng iced coffee and I see Mico sipping on his chocolate drink.

"Thanks."

"Ang lalim ng iniisip mo." Magkasama kami ngayon dito sa office ng student government para makipag-usap sa adviser namin. It's only 7am and we are already here.

"I still can't believe that the school permits those kind of group. I am kind of bothered." I am seriously scared.

"Hey don't be scared. I know some of the members and their main purpose is to maintain the peace and order of the school. The guys that cause chaos in this school are outsiders." He explained.

"That's my point. They are outsiders yet they can move freely inside the school. What if there are a lot more like them?" Hindi pa rin maalis ang pangamba sa puso ko na maaaring maulit ang nangyari sa akin.

"We will help." Napalingon kami ni Mico sa nagsalita at papalapit sa amin. Si Ice iyon at may kasama itong dalawa pang estudyante ng St. Mary's. "Mico, Krizza, we are here to help. Ms. Herrera asked us to be here if that's what you want to hear." He smirked at me. Napansin niya siguro ang pagkunot ng noo ko dahil sa pagdating nila. Naupo sila sa katapat naming upuan.

"Thank you. Hi, I'm Mico, by the way." Pagpapakilala ni Mico sa mga ito. "And this is my Vice President, Kassandra." Tinanguan ko lamang sila bilang pagbati.

"Hi, I am Lance." Pakilala ng isa. Pamilyar sa akin ang mukha niya dahil senior rin siya from the other section. Iniabot niya ang kamay niya sa akin at malugod ko naman itong tinanggap.

"Kassandra." Pagpapakilala ko. Akmang babawiin ko na ang kamay ko pero hindi ito binitawan ng lalaki. Nakangiti siya sa akin pero hindi ako natutuwa sakanya. "My hands?" I heard the other guy chuckle pero tinignan lang ito ng masama ni Ice.

"Oh, my bad. Your hand is so soft." Napailing ako dahil sa sinabi nito pero hindi ko na lamang ito pinansin.

"Ako naman si Ralph. We represent the three brotherhood inside the school." Magalang na pakilala ng isa pa.

"Thank you for coming here to help but can we have a little of your respect especially to Ms. Kassandra here." Seryosong sabi ni Mico na ikinalingon ko sakanya. Seryoso ang mukha niya at halatang hindi niya nagustuhan ang ginawa ni Lance.

"I'm sorry about that." Nakangising sabi ni Lance.

"Kinausap ko sila para makipagtulungan sa atin. Mas madali natin masosolusyunan ito kung madami tayong magtutulong tulong." Seryosong sabi ni Ice. Hindi siya tumitingin sa akin at diretso ang tingin kay Mico na para bang wala ako sa harap niya. Ano na namang problema nitong isang to?

"But we still need to keep from the students the severity of the issue. Kailangan natin mapanatiling kalmado ang mga estudyante." Pagpapaalala ko sakanila. Tinapunan niya lamang ako ng tingin at ibinaling ang atenson sa kanyang telepono.
