Kuroo was discharged after another month with the expectation he would complete two more months of physical therapy.

He was currently sitting on the couch with his legs up on the table. Kuroo was flipping through a magazine and drinking from a white mug of coffee. His dark tresses were as messy as ever, but his skin had paled from being stuck inside due to the weather.

He was wearing a faded red T-shirt and grey sweatpants with his black socks pulled over them. Just like Kenma.

Akaashi smiled at his strange habits. Tugging at the sleeves of his blue sweater, he walked over and sat down, placing a hand on Kuroo's shoulder. Kuroo looked to his side and grinned, quickly putting down the mug and lowering the magazine to his lap.

"Good morning," he greeted in a slightly raspy voice. Akaashi kissed Kuroo's cheek with his soft lips. When he pulled back Kuroo cupped Akaashi's jaw and held his head in place. He caressed Akaashi's cheek, his thumb wandering over to his lips and tugging down the bottom one.

"God... I forgot how much more beautiful you are in person," he murmured. Akaashi blushed at those words and tried to turn away, but Kuroo's grip was strong.

"I wish I was there for you," Kuroo sighed. Akaashi glanced down. "I wish I could've helped you—"

"Stop," Akaashi ordered. He grasped Kuroo's hand and moved so he could kiss his palm.

"Can we just..." Akaashi brushed a few strands of hair out of Kuroo's face. "Can we just enjoy what we have right now?" Akaashi asked. Kuroo placed his hand on Akaashi's hip and pulled him closer.

Akaashi was startled and quickly grabbed Kuroo's fingers in an attempt to pull away his fingers.

"No—don't—" he started. Kuroo let go and moved his hand higher up to Akaashi's shoulder.

"I'm sorry," Kuroo apologized in a soft voice. "I should have asked." Akaashi shook his head. "Yes, I should have," Kuroo repeated. Akaashi chewed his lip and dropped his head.

"When's the last time you and Bo...?" Kuro asked carefully.

Akaashi laughed quietly.

"We've been fine for some time now. He cried when I let him hug me," Akaashi admitted.

Kuroo hummed with a smile.

"I'm not surprised," Kuroo declared. Akaashi lifted his gaze, his eyes meeting Kuroo's hazel orbs. Kuroo inhaled sharply and leaned forward. However, he faltered when Akaashi flinched.

"Can um... can I kiss you?" Kuroo asked.

Akaashi stared for a moment as if he was thinking.

"Okay," Akaashi replied in a soft tone.

Kuroo moved closer.

"Yeah?" He whispered. As Akaashi nodded he felt Kuroo lips pressed against his.

It had been so long.

Kuroo carefully pulled Akaashi into his lap, resting his hands on his thighs and keep them still so he wouldn't make his boyfriend nervous.
