This is the word that can actually describe Taehyung's feelings perfectly at the moment. He felt free, nothing more nothing less.
He felt his husband squeezing his hand softly, probably to gain his attention, making him jump a little as he shook his head, letting out a laugh.
"I'm outside, Ggukie." Taehyung breathed out, letting go off Jeongguk's arm and taking steps towards the crowd of people who's cheers increased as they noticed their prince approaching them.
"Hey!" Taehyung shouted and waved his hands with a big smile, hoping that everyone heard him.
He got a few greetings back but most of them were still complimenting him and cheering, making him shake his head and chuckle.
There were guards in front of the crowd of course, Taehyung didn't like that, he wanted trust to exist between them, no matter what their status is, but sadly he can't really do anything about this, for now.
He continued waving and greeting his people, trying his best to make a conversation with few of them, to the guards' dismay.
"I'm the prince here." He shooed a guard away and crouched down in front of a small boy who wanted to give him a rose.
He gently took the rose and tucked it behind his ear, batting his eyelashes playfully at the boy who clapped in response, giggles leaving his mouth.
Taehyung stood back up and waved again at the crowd before making his way to his husband who was just standing there awkwardly.
His smile faltered slightly. "Ggukie? is everything okay?" He asked, looking at the pirate with puppy eyes which made Jeongguk melt, he gave the younger a small smile before glancing at the crowd.
"Doesn't seem like they like me so much." Jeongguk mumbled, his gaze falling down a bit as he looked at his lover's hand that held onto his collar tightly.
Taehyung tip-toed and quickly pecked the older's nose, making Jeongguk blush, trying to hide his smile.
"Jeonggukie, they have no problems with you, maybe they just feel a little weird since having a pirate between us is not really common, but they'll accept you, willingly or not."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive!" Taehyung exclaimed, wrapping his arms around the other's neck who immediately held the prince close by the waist.
