A 2009 search for the Loch Ness Monster came up empty. Scientists did however find over 100,000 golf balls. Initially they thought they were mushrooms as there were so many. But when they lowered a camera to the depths below, we they found they were golf balls. The balls were found roughly 300 yards from the beach and 100 yards from the shore where locals and visitors have been using the loch to practice their drive.
