CHAPTER 33

It's been a year since the last time she ate with her family in their grand table. Sitting beside her is Dane, while her Dad was in his usual place as well as her mother na katabi naman si Glyr. She badly wanted to ask her mother what Glyr is doing in their house. Maybe the kid loves to spend time with her mom dahil noon pa man pumupunta na iyon dito dahil sa kanya, but now? she still don't understand.

"Dad, tomorrow Ate and Kuya Kane will be home, I guess babalik na rin ako ng Italy" uuwi na rin bukas sa Pinas ang Ate Darshana at ang asawa nitong si Kane from their honeymoon.

"Grandlola can you take me home later?" Napatigil siya sa pag mix ng cereal ni Dane ng sumingit si Glyr.

"Why? I thought you wanted to stay here dahil sa susunod na araw pa ang class niyo?" Her mom asked Glyr at alinlangang tumingin sa kanya.

"I just feel like going home" sagot naman nang bata at tumingin sa kanya.

"Okay, later" her mom answered at nilagyan ng ulam ang pagkain ni Glyr na halata namang walang gana kumain.

Her father coughed before decided to talked.

"I'm sorry but I guess you can't" nagulat siya sa sinabi ng ama. Honestly she really wants to go back in Italy, ang botique niya roon ay naiwan sa kanyang empleyado. Besides, there is no reason for her to stay. Lahat ayaw sa kanya rito, so what's the used.

"What do you mean Dad?" Nagtatakhang tanong niya.

"I will have a business trip in Sweden for the whole month and I want you to handle our company for the mean time" her Dad started to explain and she's not happy with it.

"But Dad, my boutique. Hindi ko lang puwedeng basta iwan yon. Siguro kaya na naman iyon ng sekretarya niyo" she insisted kahit alam niyang hindi madali ang iiwang trabaho ng ama sa secretary nito. She was once a secretary at alam niya kung gaano kahirap ang trabaho.

"Listen anak, I am leaving you a big business partnership. You can be the designer for the upcoming grand runway kung gugustuhin mo" she saw how her Dad looked at her mom at hindi niya mawari kung ano ang tinging iyon.

"Dad, I have also clients left. I have an unfinished business there" saad niya. Hindi na niya manguya ang kinakain.

"Oh c'mmon, you have lots of designer team there. So common, accept it or else" binitin talaga siya ng ama sa pa or else or else nito.

"Or else what Dad?" Naiinis niyang tanong not minding that kids are listening to them.

"Or else hindi ko pipirmahan ang pang renew mo sa boutique. We all know that boutique was still under my name dahil hindi mo pa tinatanggap ang kagustuhang mapapasaiyo iyon" yes you heard it right, the boutique was still under her Dad's name and every renewal of license he needs to fly to Italy para lng magpirma o di kaya ipadala ang papeles sa Pinas. Her Dad wanted to give it to her pero hindi pa niya pinaprocess ang pagtransfer dahil hindi pa siya ready. But she claimed that the boutique was already owned by her.

"Dad, your blackmailing me" her lips are already pouting. She didn't expect that her Dad will that to her.

"I guess I am" her Dad shrugged and continue eating.

"Dad please" pagsusumamo niya.

"Anak please, just this once. Pambawi ko na sayo to. Let the Filipinos show your magic hands when it comes to designs. You're kinda biased you know, you let Italians wear your clothes so why not Filipinos" her Dad added.

When she started to designs clothes she didn't expect that she will become famous in Italy. She have already designed clothes for famous Italian actors and Italian models. May naging client rin siyang mga Pinoy ngunit hindi gaano karami.
