Captains - Patrick Cripps

Chapter 1

December 27th 2016

Eleanora Torelle and Jack Silvagni were lounging around in their new apartment still recovering from Christmas with their families. The two had just moved into their new apartment together a few days before Christmas.

They had both been needing to move out of their parents house and then realised that they could easily just move in together.

So they did just that, they got an apartment that was easy for both of them to get to the places they got to daily, for 21 year old Leni that was her part time job at a bar on Royal Parade and for a recently turned 19 year old Jack  that was Ikon park for Footy.

The apartment they had bought has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom a decent sized kitchen and a lounge room attached to the kitchen. It was quite spacious and had more than enough space for if either of them had friends over in the future.

It was about 7:30 at night and both of them were just relaxing in the lounge room when the door was unlocked and someone burst in already yabbering away. Slightly confused with who could have just walked in the door they both turned around to see Cassidy Sevan or Cassie as she was called more often walk in with 4 shopping bags and a fairly annoyed expression.

They were confused to say the least.

"You will never fucking guess who I bumped into at Woolies today" Cass said as she started unpacking the random food she had brought over, she was the person they decided to give the spare key too seeing as she was Leni's best friend.

"It was Maria fucking Jordan! You remember her right Len, you know the girl from high school with hair she was a real bitch."

Leni who had really only just realised who had walked in and responded "Cassie there was surprising amount of girls from highschool with hair, you and I included."

Cass spun around with a frustrated expression painted on her face "Eleanora now is not the time for sarcastic comments, I just bumped into a bitch and probably have diseases, I'm using the shower and borrowing some clothes so that I can hopefully wash off possible viruses and diseases" with that she walked out of the kitchen set for the shower.

Jack and Leni just watched as she walked or you could probably say ran to the shower, neither of them particularly surprised but still a bit confused.

Most things Cassie said came out very quickly making it hard to understand so they were still trying to process it.

Once they both had figured out what she said they went back to relaxing and having a chat mainly about Jacks footy.

"Any way back to what I was saying, I heard rumours that there is going to be a AFLW competition this year." said Jack quite excitedly

"Really?" Leni replied

"Yeah but apparently since its the first ever season they aren't gonna do a draft the teams are just going to be able to pick people and hope they say yes" Jack chatted away

"That's pretty cool, maybe you'll get a girlfriend." she laughed leaning over to ruffle his hair

"I'm going to my room. Night Jackie" She said using a nickname just to annoy him and based off the scowl on his face she achieved her goal.

After having a shower and hanging around for about an hour Cassie decided to leave claiming she needed a rest after her traumatic experience, leaving Leni alone with her thoughts as Jack ended up going to a mates house.

Leni decided she should probably check her emails and do responsible things that she had been putting off.

She walked over to her desk opening up her laptop and clicking on the email icon after waiting for a second all her new emails popped up she was dreading having to go through all of them and most likely having to respond to most.

As she was clicking through what seemed to mostly be school stuff and junk mail she came across an email with the word CONFIDENTIAL above the email address, Clicking on it up came the big carlton logo popping out at her underneath said logo was the start of an email addressed directly to Miss Eleanora Torelle.
