Chapter 42

4:30am Wednesday March 1st 2017

Leni woke up to the sound of her alarm. She was still at Cassie's but the night prior had planned to go back and continue living in the apartment with Jack despite them still being in an argument, he didn't own the apartment and she wanted to stay there, not that she didn't like Cassie's house.

Leni groaned as she whacked her phone to shut up the alarm, training was set to start in half an hour meaning she had to get up. Leni sat up pulling the doona off before rolling out of bed, literally, and falling in the floor with a groan and a loud thud.

"Eleanora! Shut the Fuck up! just because you have to be awake doesn't mean I have too" Leni heard Cassie shout still half asleep from her room down the hall, about a minute later Leni was able to hear her snores once again meaning she had fallen back asleep.

Leni tiptoed to the kitchen after dragging herself off the floor, she poured herself a bowl of cereal before sitting down at the bench to eat. She grabbed out her phone and scrolled through Instagram liking peoples photos and looking at stories.

As she did so she remembered the conversation she had the night before with Patrick about going to his house a couple of hours after training, she planned to take him up on that offer.

At around 4:45 Leni left the house with her bag and her training clothes on, she knew that they is would probably be in the weights room/gym for the first hour and a half or so and most likely with very little energy due to the time. It didn't take long too arrive and find a park, Leni arrived about 5 minutes early but her car was the only one in the players parking indicating that no one else had arrived yet. Walking in she saw just a singular person at the reception desk, walking past Leni said hello before continuing her journey to the locker rooms.

As she walked through the door Leni was met with silence, it was weird as normally when she walked in there was already people there chattering away but his time there wasn't.

Leni put her bag in her locker and grabbed some tape so that she could tape her ankle, Leni quickly taped it up before doing a couple small jumps to make sure it would stay in place. Each landing from a jump made a bearable amount of pain shoot up from her ankle.

Leni knew it was stupid to keep training and planning to play with her bad ankle but there was no way she was missing the upcoming game.

At 5:30 all of the girls were in the weights room doing exercises and stretches as they talked, Leni was running on a treadmill talking to Sarah Hosking as she ran on the one opposite. The two mainly talked about everything that had been going on recently, including Leni's now known relationship. Leni had learnt when she started at Carlton that if you wanted good advice to go to Sarah because she somehow always knew what to do which was quite helpful.

"What do I do about Jack? I'm planning to back to the apartment today because it's not just his so I'm gonna live there but I don't want him to be mad at me for ages" Leni groaned as she ran

"I think you should give him some time, if he talks to you talk to him, if he tries to start an argument or something just ignore it. It's not worth it" Sarah advised

"Yeah, I just don't want him to hate me for ages, I don't understand why he can't just accept it and get over it" Leni complained

"Well how would you feel if he started dating Bella or something?" Asked Sarah

"I mean I would but a bit annoyed but I'd accept it and move on. He just keeps dragging it out, like why can't he just accept it and get over himself" Leni said in frustration

"I'm sure he will soon and when he does I reckon he'll realise his mistakes and be sorry" Sarah told her as she hopped of the treadmill giving Leni a pat on the back before walking to her twin

Leni kept running thinking about how she was going to get Jack to at least talk to her, it was starting to piss her off, he was being completely unreasonable and quite judgemental.

At 8am training finished and all the girls were in the locker rooms packing up their things and heading out one by one. Leni planned to head back to the apartment and grab some of her photography things before going to the park nearby to take some photos for Instagram. She had been sent some active wear by a small business to promote so she planned to pick out a set and take a few photos then post them.

Leni left Ikon at about 8:15, she began the drive to the apartment complex, as she pulled in she was able to spot Jack's car as well as Charlie's and Zac's meaning the quartet was probably there. She parked before grabbing her bag and walking into the lobby, Leni quickly greeted a few of the people she knew before getting in the lift and heading up to her floor.

The lift dinged indicating she had reached her level, the doors opened allowing her to get out and walk down the hall, stopping in front of the door Leni grabbed out her keys to unlock the door.

Walking in Leni saw the 4 boys on the couch asleep, it was good in a way as it meant she could go to her room quickly grab her things and then go to the park, as she walked past the couch she heard some light snores most likely coming from Fish, she tiptoed to her room and quietly shut her door before putting her bag down.

Leni was in the process of picking out an active wear set when she heard shuffling past her door, she froze before realising that the footsteps belonged to Caleb who was most likely going to the toilet.

When she had chosen a set she quickly put it on before packing a small bag with some equipment and comfy clothes to change into afterwards before going to Patrick's Leni made sure she had everything before quietly opening her door and stepping out.

Unfortunately she could hear some light chatter coming from the kitchen meaning at least 2 of the 4 were awake, she planned to just walk straight past and ignore them in hopes she wouldn't get stopped or asked any questions.

Leni started walking down the hall and turned into the kitchen that she had to go through to get to the door, as she walked in she saw only Caleb and Zac awake. Both heard her walk in and turned their heads towards her, she ignored them and quickly made it to the door and left before any questions could be asked.

Leni had finished taking photos and posting them meaning she could finally go to her boyfriends, it was about 9:30am. Leni found a toilet to change into her clothes she had brought along before walking back ti her car and driving over to Patrick's.

It didn't take long to arrive, she quickly walked up ti the door and rung the doorbell. Patrick opened it and pulled her into a hug before they walked upstairs to his room.

The couple spent the day up until Patrick had training cuddling, watching movies, talking and laughing, when Pat needed to go to training Leni went back to the apartment and went to sleep straight away even though it was only 2 o'clock.

A/N 1322 words. alright the story is slowly coming to an end my guess is that there will be about 5 more chapters, maybe a couple more but idk. i was originally going to make bella and jack a couple but i decided not to
