Chapter 2

December 27th 2016

Leni started scrolling down on the email slowly reading it thoroughly making sure not to miss any information, it read:

Miss Torelle,

This letter is strictly confidential and what is written is not to be told to anyone. As you may of heard from your cousin there will be an AFL women's competition this year and teams are required to pick people instead of the draft.

We are writing to you to ask if you would be willing to join the Carlton women's team, if you wish to join please respond to this Email as soon as possible so that we can organise a meeting with you and the other players.

To say she was shocked was an understatement she starting typing her reply immediately saying she would love too, she then decided it was time to call it a night and went to sleep.

Sunday January 2nd 2017

It was the middle of the day as Eleanora was sitting in her room with Cassie talking about the latest gossip that happened at Cassie's work, Cassie worked in the fashion editing field and was at shoots fairly often and 9 times out of 10 there was some sort of drama which Cassie loved to tell Leni about.

"Okay so then Juliet you remember me telling you about her right?" asked Cass, Leni nodded with a slightly confused face trying to figure out where this story was going.

"Anyway so Juliet was walking past a shoot like everyone and then this bitchy model I think her name was Charlotte came over and deliberately knocked Juliet not realising she was holding coffee, so then this coffee spilt all over Charlotte's white dress she was doing a shoot in. It was hilarious" Cassie exclaimed in a fairly rushed way whilst trying not too laugh

Leni just stared at her trying to figure out what events led up to that when she got an alert for an Email.

Cass decided to go raid the pantry after telling Leni stories for another hour or so, Leni took this opportunity to look at the Email she got.

She opened it up and saw that it was from Carlton asking if she can come in at about 10am on January 4th to meet the rest of the team and start training.

She was quick to write back saying she would be there. After it was sent she was thinking about telling Cassie but then remembered that the teams had to remain a secret until revealed to their clubs.

Leni started thinking about how her dream of being a pro footy player was coming true when she heard a smash and the sounds of arguing in the kitchen, getting up with a huff she walked to the kitchen.

When Leni walked in the arguing came to a halt, looking down she saw 2 smashed mugs, she looked up to see a mad Jack Silvagni and an annoyed Cassidy Sevan.

"What the fuck are you two doing?" asked Eleanora in a bored tone whilst being slightly confused, they both launched into a series of loud accusations until Leni yelled "SHUT UP, speak one at a time, Jack you first".

"Okay so your friend Cassidy decided she wanted coffee but she couldn't reach the mugs, so then I asked her if she needed help but being the stubborn bitch she is she refused saying she could do it herself. She got on the bench grabbed one but then dropped it so I grabbed the dustpan to clean it up, but then she grabbed another and also dropped it but instead of it landing on the floor, it landed ON MY FUCKING HEAD" Jack spoke in a fairly angry tone whilst Cassie was trying not to laugh.

"Is that what happened Cass?" asked Leni feeling pretty fed up with the situation

"well yes but he's being dramatic it didn't even hurt him" Cass stated once again annoyed

"you know what Jack build a bridge and get over it but Cass apologise sincerely, alright" they both looked at Len then at each other and with a huff Cass apologised and Jack walked back to his room.

A couple hours later and Cassie had left for a family dinner that she was dreading, she didn't want to have to deal with her 2 siblings who argued 24/7.

Len was cooking dinner for her and Jack since he was too lazy too. She called him out for dinner, when he sat down he started talking about his morning training session.

"Apparently the women's team is forming on Wednesday" Jack said sounding reasonably excited

"Oh really, I didn't know, they confirmed the date yet" Leni felt bad about lying to Jack but at least on Wednesday she'll be able to talk to him about her footy team

"Well there could be cute girls and I want a girlfriend, but the annoying thing is we aren't meeting them until Thursday because we don't have training Wednesday" He stated being excited at the start and slightly annoyed by the end.

"Well I'm gonna head to bed, you have to clean since i cooked by the way" said Leni eliciting a groan from Jack

"Night Len love you" said Jack still slightly pissed about having to clean up

"Night love you too Jacko" she said before walking to her room and chilling for a while before turning off the lights and trying to go to sleep.

A/N Okay so not much happened in this chapter but the next chapter will be Leni meeting the rest of the AFLW team and all of them getting to know each other and training and all that shit. Please tell me if this book is complete shit
