Chapter 40

5pm Tuesday February 28th 2017

After going out and getting lunch with Pat he dropped her back at Cassie's, Cass want home yet so she hadn't been able to meet him unfortunately.

Leni and Cassie were getting ready to go to Her aunt and uncle's for dinner, Cassie was quite excited to see how everything was going to play out, she was of course also ready to comfort and help Leni if needed but very excited to see what shit was going to go down.

At about 5:30 the two girls headed out to the car to go to dinner, Cassie being the fashion designer she was had decided to wear some jeans that she had designed recently that had different shades of denim, a cropped white shirt with a nice jacket. Leni had opted more for comfort and was wearing some plain black leggings with a sage green jumper and some runners.

Leni had stolen the keys form Cassie knowing that it would probably be safer for her to drive, Cass was a good driver for very short drives but for ones over about 10 minutes she would start to dance to music and nearly crash, so the two decided drives under 10 minutes Cassie would drive but over 10 minutes Leni would drive. Cassie connected her phone so that she could play music, she and Leni had a Spotify playlist that they could both add to which had all of the songs they both loved, the playlist was played all the time by both of them.

At about 6 o'clock Leni parked the car on the side of the road as the driveway was already taken up, she and Cassie both got out of the car grabbing their Phones, keys and anything else that they had brought with them.

The two girls walked up to the door Leni took a deep breath before ringing doorbell, she and Cassie knew that Jack was already there after seeing his car sitting in the driveway meaning he could have already told Steve and Serge.

It took about 10 seconds before the door was opened by Nonna Rita who immediately pulled the two girls into a big hug

"Cassie dear, how are you? I haven't seen you in ages" Rita spoke letting go of Leni and keeping Cassie in the hug

"I'm good, how are you?" Asked Cassie with a smile

"Oh I'm good Honey" Rita responded ushering the girls into the house

"I exist you know Nonna" Leni spoke up

"Yes I know but I see you more than Cassie" Rita told her pushing the girls to the lounge

"Fair enough" Leni mumbled, she hadn't told her mum, Jo or Nonna that Jack, Ben and Tom found out about her and Patrick so they would probably get a surprise when they found out.

"Cassie!" Cheered Serge and Steve as the 2 girls walked into the lounge room were everyone else was sitting, the two were the last to arrive

"Serge! Steve!" Cassie Cheered back walking over and giving them both a hug before sitting next to Tom and beginning to whisper something to him.

"Why does everyone seem more excited to see her than me?" Leni asked with a laugh

"Because we like her more" Serge responded as she gave him a hug

"I'm offended" Leni laughed putting her on her chest in fake offence

"Good" Ben spoke form the corner with a chuckle

"Hush Ben 10" Said Leni

Leni walked over to her mum and Jo giving them both a hug, as Leni sat on the couch she mad eye contact with Jack who was sitting on a chair on the other side of the room. He stared back at her to which she raised her eyebrows before looking away.
