Chapter 18

2:30 Monday January 9th 2017

Len was ready and sitting in the couch of her her and Jack's apartment waiting for Pat to arrive and pick her up. She was scrolling through Instagram when she finally heard the doorbell ring she got up and walked over to the door, opening it to reveal Patrick standing there slightly nervously

"Hey" she said giving him a hug before quickly running inside and grabbing her bag before walking back out.

"So what are we going to do?" asked Leni

"That is a surprise" Pat responded

"Oh really" she said looking at him suspiciously

"Yep, now let's go Nora"

They walked out to Pat's car, Leni got in the passenger seat doing up her seatbelt before looking to Pat "So is there anything I should now about where we're going and what we're doing?" asked Nora

"Nope, it's nothing scary or anything" Pat responded

"Okay then" Leni said slightly skeptical. The two of them chatted and laughed for the drive which took about 20 minutes.

"We're here m'lady" said Patrick poshly making Leni laugh as she got out of the car.

"No fucking way" Leni muttered covering her mouth seeing where they were, one thing to know about Leni was if she didn't get the opportunity to be a footy player she would've put her criminology degree to use and become a detective so Pat taking her to an escape room made her very happy.

"You like it?" he guessed with raised eyebrows

"I love it" she said looking at him with a massive smile on her face.

The two had been told the escape room would take about an hour and a half, so far it had been about half an hour and Patrick was lying on the floor groaning about how confusing it was whilst Leni was about half way through.

"Nora, How the fuck are you not dying of confusion? asked Pat looking at her in disbelief as she was trying to unlock a small box

"Because this stuff interests me and I know what I'm doing" she responded

"This interests me but I have no clue what I'm doing" Pat groaned

"I know honey" Leni said not really paying attention to what she was saying.

Pat on the other hand felt like his heart just melted when she called him honey he decided to ignore it though because it most likely meant nothing.

Once Leni realised what she had said a slight blush dusted her cheeks and she quickly made sure he couldn't see her face.

She was trying all the keys she had to unlock the box which she was pretty sure had the way out of the room in it so she turned to Pat

"Hey I think I've got the way out in this little box" she told him with a smile on her face, his head turned so quickly she was almost sure he got whiplash

"Really?" he asked looking quite relieved

"I think so I just need to see if this key will work" she said.

Pat walked over and stood behind her watching her put the key in hoping it would work, Nora twisted the key and the box popped open revealing a little sheet of paper and a key.

"Okay lets see if this will get us out of here" said Leni picking out the piece of paper. Leni and Pat both read the sheet which revealed a message saying to look behind the shirt in the cupboard.

Pat raced over to the cupboard and opened it up, throwing out the shirt to reveal a little door with a lock after unlocking it, it revealed a slide

"Would you like to go first seeing as you solved this" asked Pat looking at Leni who had a satisfied smile on her face

"Why don't we go down together?" she suggested

"Sure come on I'll go behind" he told her.

Leni got in and then felt Pat behind her before they both slid down the slide. Both of them walked out to the reception the girl there seemed in shock that they finished it nearly an hour before most people.

The two of them then walked out to Patrick's car and hopped in, "So what are we going to do now?" asked Leni

"Do you wanna go get some food?" asked Pat

"yeah sure" Len responded.

Pat and Nora were walking along a street of cafes and restaurants looking for somewhere to eat "Do you wanna just get something takeaway and then come back to my apartment and eat it there?" asked Leni

"Yeah sure, isn't Jack there though" Patrick responded

"Nah he's spending the night at Caleb's so he won't be there" she told him

"Alright cool because I don't want to get killed by him for hanging out with you" Patty laughed

"Yeah that wouldn't be ideal" Leni agreed with a laugh. Although Pat and Jack were good friends Leni didn't really want him to know she was hanging out with Pat just yet or he would tell everyone being the blabbermouth he was and most likely try and kill him, so she decided it would be best to just not tell him until she wanted too.

The two of them ended up at a small Café and both ordered some food Leni got a bacon and egg roll whereas Pat got a burrito.

They both walked back to Patrick's car and drove to Lenis apartment whilst they were driving and talking Leni quickly texted Cass to not come over that night since Pat was coming over hoping that Cassie would listen and not come over but who knows with Cassidy Sevan she was quite unpredictable.

"Alrighty let's go up to the apartment" Leni said as they arrived into the building, the two walked up chatting and laughing as they went, when they reached the door Leni unlocked it before walking in.

"Do you want to do a movie marathon?" Leni asked excitedly with a big smile on her face jumping onto the couch as Pat walked through the door, Pat laughed at her excitement before answering her

"Sure" he laughed sitting in the couch with her

"Do you want to do a marvel one" she asked looking at him turning on the TV

"Yeah sure I haven't watched a marvel movie in a while" He said with a shrug

"Do you want to start from the very start or from the first avengers movie?" Nora asked him

"You can choose Nora" he told her with a small smile on his face

"Ooh let's start from the first avengers movie" She said clicking on it on the TV and pressing play whilst the two of them started their food.

AN 1111 words. alright this is shit anyway have good day or night or whatever. I didn't look through this properly so it's pretty bad
