Chapter 48

2:30pm Saturday March 10th 2017

Leni was lying on the couch thinking of the day prior

She had been leaving training at the time that the boys were starting meaning she was bound to run into Patrick at some point, when she eventually did he walked up and attempted to talk to her but she felt as though she wasn't ready to have a conversation with him and walked away just before he reached her.

Leni wanted to talk to him and smooth things out; she really did, but she didn't know how.

He had just broken up with her for no reason and she had no clue how a conversation would go if she asked him why.

Did he regret it? Did he have a reason?

Leni didn't know

"Cassie!" Leni shouted walking into Cass's house, she knew Cass would be home seeing as she didn't work most weekends and didn't really have many friends apart from Leni, Darcy and Bella. She had a couple other friends but not close friends.

"I'm in the backyard" Was the muffled response Leni heard due to Cass being far away

Leni walked out to the back door and nearly tripped as she walked down the stairs to the grass where Cassie had a yoga mat and was doing some type of workout or yoga, Leni wasn't quite sure.

"He came up and tried to talk to me but I walked away and now I kind of regret it. I want to talk to him to know why he did it it but I'm not really sure how to start that conversation or" Leni spoke before getting cut off

"Len stop rambling, If you want to find out why he did it then talk to him when you're ready, If you aren't quite ready then just wait a little bit." Cassie advised pulling Leni down onto the grass to sit

"I'm thinking of applying to a job as well" Leni mentioned

"Ooh what job?"

"Either a forensic psychologist or a criminal profiler. I have my degree so I may as well put it to use"

"Fair enough I say go for the forensic psych, I think you'd be good at it"

"Yeah I've found a couple places with interviews so I might apply"

"Go for it"

"Okay anyway, Do you want to come to my mums with me tonight?" Leni asked knowing that Cass would probably come seeing as Leni's mum was basically Cassie's mum too

"Yeah of course"

Leni and Cassie had arrived at Leni's childhood home after Cassie took around half an hour to get all her stuff ready and get ready to go.

"Ma we're here" Leni shouted opening the front door and walking in with Cassie trailing behind

"I'm in the kitchen"

The two girls walked down the hall to the kitchen and walked in, her mum was sitting at the kitchen bench with Jo and Steve. Jo was sitting having a cup of coffee whilst the two siblings were having a petty argument.

"Hey Leno, Hey Cassandra" Steve greeted purposely calling calling Cassie by the wrong name like he had done since the two girls were little

"Stefan how for art thou?" Cassie asked dramatically as she put her bag on the bench and sat on the couch near by

"Not the Shakespeare talking phase again" Groaned Lisa

"Anyway, we need to talk about the shit that's happened" Leni announced to Jo and her mum as she took a seat next to Cassie

"We most definitely do" Jo agreed

"Wait why do you need to talk?" Asked a clueless Steve

"Oh right I forgot to tell you. So basically Patrick and I broke up, I don't know why we just met up at the beach and I was going to tell him Jack and I made up and I was considering saying I love you but then he just dumped me" Leni explained as a sad look took over her face

"Aw Len, Do you need me to beat him up?" Steve asked walking over and giving her a hug

"Nah I just want to know why he did it, He tried to talk to me this morning but I kinda just walked away"

"Fair enough" Her mum agreed

"I feel like I should hear out what he has to say because I want to know why he did it?"

"If your ready I think you should but if you aren't I'm sure there's no harm in waiting" advised Jo

"Yeah"

"Alright this is depressing so does anyone want to watch reality tv and laugh at the people on it?" Asked Cassie in an attempt to lighten the mood

"Yeah sure" Leni smiled

"Definitely" Agreed Steve as he laid back on the couch

Patrick was at the gym near his house working out in an attempt to keep Leni off his mind.

He didn't know how he was supposed to get her to talk to him or what to say if he did, she must've been thinking he did it for no reason and that he was just an asshole and it annoyed him that there was a high chance she thought that.

After Jack had yelled at him he had been lying on his bed for awhile and it made him realise that he really loved her. Like sure he knew he loved her but now he knew just how much and couldn't even put into words what he would do to Kiss her, hug her, laugh with her and go to the beach together again.

He really fucked up.

A/N 920 words. This is a short chapter but i hope you liked it. lil surprise update as well

also i'm thinking that my next book will be about Jack Silvagni, what do you guys think? should i do it?
