Chapter 95 - Our Beautiful Katie

* Harry's POV *

Issy and I watched as they cleaned Katie up, taking all her measurements and weight as they checked her, making sure everything was normal. A nurse then came over and they moved Issy into a different room about ten minutes ago to rest and recuperate.

The nurse let me know that Katie would be taken for more tests and receive medical care until she could go into Issy's hospital room and be with her. I then nodded, smiling as I took one last glance at Katie, before following one of the nurses who was currently directing me to where Issy was moved.

" Hi sweetheart", I whispered to her as I walked in, standing over her bed that was in her own room now, gently caressing her cheeks as her eyes fluttered, worn out from all the hard work she's been in for the past eleven hours.

" Hi", she whispered back in a sweet soft voice.

" I'm so proud of you, you got through an eleven hour birth", I reminded her, making her lips curve into a tired smile, turning slowly to face me, looking over behind me.

" Katie, where's Katie?", she asked, starting to lift herself up from the bed, looking at me worriedly as I placed both of my hands against her arms, gently laying her back down on the bed, taking her hand in mine.

" Hey hey, it's okay Katie is fine they are just running the tests they have to do, they are gonna bring her in here with you later", I assured her, stroking my hands through her hair as she sighed, nodding her head at my words, resting it back on the pillow.

" Do you have to go back now?", she questioned, just below a faint whisper, her voice faintly giving out from how tired she was.

" Don't think about that, you need your rest, I'll be here when you wake up in the morning okay? Your mum and brother already landed and are at your house, I'm just gonna get some clothes from the nursery for Katie and your gonna need that breast pump to feed her tomorrow morning and I'm gonna take a shower then come right back alright?", I said to her, my gaze now staring back up at her now from her hands, now seeing her eyes were closed, looking like she had fallen asleep. I smiled at how peacefully she looked, relieved that the hard part was over for her and that she could finally rest. I then looked over at my watch, seeing it was eleven pm now. I brought my lips to her temple, gently placing a kiss to it, before making my way out of the room.

" Harry hi honey!", Michelle exclaimed, getting up from next to her son on the couch to greet me.

" Hi Michelle, hi Matt how are you guys?", I asked them, bringing Matt into a brief embrace, as well as Issy's mum.

" Congratulations your a Dad!", she exclaimed, making me grin from ear to ear, the unexplainable happiness displaying in my wide smile from hearing the honorable word.

" Thank you, Issy's fast asleep back at the hospital and Katie is perfectly healthy", I told her, smiling as she gushed, covering her mouth with both of her hands.

" And my baby, how'd she do?" , I wish I could of been there", she said, sending me a genuine smile.

" She did great, she was in labor for eleven hours and she had her at 10:14 pm", I said, a smile taking over her face as tears starring brimming through her eye lids, pulling me into another hug.

" Oh my god I can't wait to see them, I'm so happy", she cried, Matt smiling as he looked over at his mom's ecstatic facial expression.

" Where's Eric?", I asked her, referring to her husband.

" He couldn't take off work last minute unfortanetly, so he's gonna try to come in a couple weeks to visit her and see the baby", she said.

" Oh great, is Em and Dave here?", I asked her, taking a glance around the kitchen.

" Yes they are both upstairs I don't know if they are asleep though", Michelle told me, taking a seat back on the couch.

" Oh trust me, they aren't sleeping", Matt said while letting out a small chuckle as he looked over to me, making me laugh.

" I'm gonna go get a shower and get more stuff for Iss and Katie then I'm gonna head back over to the hospital", I told them, watching as they both nodded.

" Alright honey we'll be here to see her first thing in the morning", she informed me, watching as I sent both of them another smile, before walking back upstairs.

" Hi mum", I said into the phone, currently packing some of Katie's onesies and blankets into the bag.

" Hi oh honey congratulations I heard it's everywhere everyone's so happy and gushing over the fact that your a father now, I'm so happy how are they?", she asked, her voice filled with excitement.

" Thank you, and Issy's asleep and Katie is perfectly healthy, my god Mum I can't wait for you to see her, she's so beautiful, her eyes are this gorgeous hazel color since Issy's are brown and mine are green and she's just, I have no words", I told her, tears filling my eyes a bit as I thought about how beautiful my daughter was and how over the moon I was to be her father.

" Aww darling your gonna be such a great father, she sounds so beautiful I can't wait to see her, Gemma and I are gonna stop by tomorrow so we can see them both we are so excited you have no idea, I can't believe I'm a grandmother", she said, pure joy evident in her voice, making me smile.

" I know, I hope to see you guys soon I love you Mum", I told her.

" I love you too honey I'll see you tomorrow send my love to Issy and Katie", she said.

" I will, bye", I said, now ending the call, before glancing around the nursery, now heading out.

" How is she?", I asked the nurse that placed Katie into the bassinet, myself following behind her as she was about to wheel her out of the nursery.

" She's great, perfectly healthy, I'm gonna put her in your room now", she said to me as she wheeled her down the hallway, now carefully opening the door to Issy's room.

" Would you like to hold her?", she asked me, I then quickly nodded, watching as she informed me on the right way to hold her, supporting her head as I held the bottom of her body against my lower torso, cradling her in my arms, earning a smile from the nurse as she watched me follow her simple directions.

" Is she your wife?", the lady asked me, pointing to Issy who was fast asleep.

" She's my girlfriend, hopefully wife one day", I told her, smiling down at the baby in my arms before she spoke back up.

" Well you guys have a beautiful daughter, congratulations and good luck to you three", she said, sending me a small smile as I thanked her, now watching as she walked back out of the room.

" Hiii baby", I whispered, gently stroking my finger across Katies's cheek, her skin so soft and her small body wiggling in the blanket she was wrapped in.

" I'm your daddy, and I promise I will try and be the best daddy in the whole world, because your my daughter and I love you so so much", I said to her, placing a kiss on the top of her forehead, now gently rocking her.

" I can't get over how beautiful you are, your just as beautiful as your mommy is", I said, glancing up at the Issy that was sound asleep, before looking back down at Katie, seeing her eyes were closed. I then smiled, carefully placing her back on the bassinet to sleep, but somehow a new feeling taking over me after her body left my hold. It almost felt like an empty feeling, no longer having her in my arms, the similar feeling I felt when I wasn't with Issy or when I didn't have her wrapped up in my arms, it felt, empty, her small body gave me warmth and comfort, and I couldn't of been happier at the moment. I took one last glance at Katie before looking over at Issy, now quietly picking up one of the chairs that was in the room, placing it gently next to Iss's bed, now taking a seat, watching as she slept for a few seconds. Her eyelids closed and her long hair sprawled out across her shoulder in a ponytail, her chest slowly rising up and down in her peaceful slumber, looking like an absolute angel. I smiled as I took in both of the gorgeous sights in front of me one last time, before resting my head against the bed, with my hand on top of Issy's, instantly falling asleep with the thought of both my two beautiful girls in mind.
