Arielle's P.O.V

I sit on the log deep in thought.

"How?" Mom's voice sounds from behind. I turn and face her. "How? I-I... Arielle, you were in unconscious for two days. You suddenly wake up and turn into a fanatic! Saying Sophia's in the barn. How? When did you find out?!"

"She showed me," I replied. I turn back around to gaze at the landscape before me.

"Arielle, I'd call you delusional again but I'd be wrong. You were right all along. What do you mean she showed you?" Mom asks, taking a seat beside me.

"The day after gun training I woke up with insanely painful migraines, it was horrible. At the same time I kept having flashbacks or visions of Sophia after we lost her. Later that day when I passed out, I woke up to Soph nagging me to follow her. I did and she told me how she died and how she ended up in the barn," I reply. Mom looks at me, tears threatening to spill from her eyes.

"How?" Mom asks.

"She was trying to make it back to the highway but went the wrong way. She carried on running until a rotter came from the left and bit her shoulder. She fell over and tried to scream but she said she couldn't. She kicked it in the head and got up and ran for her life, she then slipped down the same cliff as Daryl and dropped her Dolly. She started getting weaker but she carried on. A little while later, when she was pretty much dead already, a rotter was heading towards her. Otis caught it then shot it. He tried to help her but she was too far gone. He then bought her back here," I reply.

I look at mom to see tears streaming down her face and her hand over her mouth.

"She asked me too. She wanted to be set free," I add as I turn my attention to the sky.

"Honey," Mom says as she pulls me in for a big hug, "I can't imagine how crazy this makes you feel. You did what had to be done. All we have to do now is move on."

"I love you more than anything mom," I reply as I hug her tightly.

"I love you my baby girl. I'm so proud of how grown up you are," Mom says.

"We're ready," Andrea tells us.

"Honey, I think you should go tell Carol we're ready for the service," Mom suggests.

"Kay kay," I reply.

I get up and make my way to the R.V

Daryl's P.O.V

Carol and I sit in a comfortable silence in the R.V. Ari walks in, expression slightly softer than before the barn shooting.

"They're ready," she says. "Come on."

"Why?"

"'Cause that's yer lil girl," I say.

"That's not my little girl. That's some other thing. My Sophia was alone in the woods. All this time I thought... She didn't cry herself to sleep, she didn't go hungry, she didn't try and find her way back. Sophia died a long time ago."

"Exactly, put it this way... your lovely, beautiful baby girl no longer has to grow up in a world full of monsters. She's safe now. You just have to take care of yourself," Ari softly replies.

Carol slightly turns her head to the side.

"You knew... how?" Carol asks.

"She told me. She told me to tell you she loves you and misses you. Yesterday when you felt that cold brezze when mom and you were hanging up washing and you got the shivers. She hugged you," Ari replied, "she hugs you everyday."
