Daryl's P.O.V

I wonder where the hell Ari is? This ain't like 'er.

"Moving to the suburbs?" Lori says as she heads towards me.

I ignore her. Hell I don't wanna talk to these people right now.

"Listen, Beth's in some kind of catatonic shock. We need Hershel," she adds.

"Yeah. So what?"

"I need you to run into town real quick and bring him and Rick back," she replies.

Who the fuck does she think she is? State of this bitch. I continue to ignore her.

"Daryl?"

"Yer bitch went window shoppin'. You want 'im go fetch him yerself. I've got better things ta do," I spat.

"What's the matter with you? Don't you be so selfish!" She scolds.

"Selfish?! Listen to me Olive Oyl, I was out ther' lookin' fer that lil girl every single day! I took a bullet and an arrow in the process. Don't you tell me 'bout gettin' ma hands dirty. You want those two idiots? Have a nice ride. I'm done lookin' fer people," I retort.

She looks at me in shock. I brush her off and continue making bolts.

"Daryl... you stay the hell away from my daughter. IF, she comes back with Hershel," she coldy says before she turns on her heel and heads back to the house.

Ari's gone with Hershel?..

Fuckin' dumb bitch.

Arielle's P.O.V

Dave. Tony. Standing in front of us, we could easily kill them, if need be. This might get interesting.

The two guys walk into the bar.

"I'm Dave. That scrawny looking douchebag there is Tony," the smaller man greets, his New York accent strongly coming through.

"Eat me dave," Tony, the bigger guy says.

"Hey, maybe someday I will," Dave shrugs. "We met on I-95 coming out of Philly."

"Damn shit show that was," Tony grumbles.

"I'm Glenn! It's nice to meet new people," Glenn kindly greets.

"Rick Grimes," Dad coolly says.

"How bout you pal? Have one?" Dave asks Hershel.

"I just quit," Hershel simply replies.

"You've got a unique sense of timing my friend," Dave smirks.

"His name is Hershel, he lost people today, a lot of them," Dad says.

"I'm truly sorry to hear that," Dave says.

"How 'bout you dollface?" Tony asks me.

"Her name's Ava. Ava Grimes. My daughter," Dad casually says.

Ah. One of my middle names. Smart, in a way I guess. Glenn nudges me with a confused look. I wink at him with a smirk. He smiles in response.

"Ava? What a pretty name, for a pretty girl," Dave says.

"Don't even go there," Dad coldly scolds.

"Well ah, to better days and new friends," Dave announces, "and to our dead, may they be in a better place."

Dave reaches over the table. Dad and I see the gun in his back pocket. He notices us staring.

"Not bad huh? Got it off a cop," Dave says, holding the gun in his open palm.

"I'm a cop," Dad says.

"This one was already dead," Dave casually says.

"Y'all are a long way from Philadelphia," I comment.

"Ah, the mysterious beauty speaks," Dave mocks, causing dad and Glenn to glare at him and me to roll my eyes.

"Feels like we're a long way from anywhere," Tony says.

"Well what drove you south?" Glenn asks.

"Well I can tell you it wasn't the weather," Dave replies.

"I must've dropped thirty pounds in sweat alone down here," Tony adds as he wipes the sweat off of his forehead with the back of his hand.

I zone out from there on. Swallowed by my own thoughts and the mutiple voices in my head.

"You can't trust them Ellie, men are extremely dangerous now," Amy's voice rings out.

I hear Dave mention about going to Nebraska. Apparently it's safer there. Low population, lots of guns.

"Ellie don't let your guard down, we can't trust them," Sophia's voice says.

"Kill them," Sophia and Amy say in unison.

"I'll shoot you three assholes in the head, take your damn daughter and the damn farm!" Tony's angered voice snaps me back to reality.

I unsheath my katana and jump over the counter. Dad puts his arm in front of me and raises his gun, while I have my katana raised.

"WOAH, WOAH! Woah, woah, woah, relax. No one's killing anybody, right Rick? Look we're just friends having a drink. That's all!" Dave says. I put my katana back but place my hand on my gun. "Now, where's the good stuff, huh?" Dave adds as he jumps the counter. "Good stuff, good stuff, good stuff, let's see," he grabs a bottle from under the counter. "Hey look at that, that'll work."

"You're not coming with us," I firmly state, knowing what he's going to say next. Dave glances at Tony and Tony gives him a slight nod, trying to go unnoticed.

But I noticed.

"Listen Ava, you gotta understand... we can't stay out there. I mean you wouldn't know what it's like, you're just a kid. You'd understand though right Rick?" Dave retorts.

Fucker.

"You're mistaken. My daughter understands a lot more than you think. She's smart. Smart enough to realize you can't come with us. The farm's as crowded as it is. I'm sorry, you'll have to keep looking," Dad smoothly replies, calmer than anything.

"Keep looking? Where do you suggest we do that?!" Dave asks, irritated.

"I don't know... I heard Nebraska's nice," I shrug taking a step closer to the counter. Hand curled around the butt of my gun.

"Nebraska," Dave laughs, "this bitch."

He grabs his gun but I beat him to it and raise mine and shoot him right in his right eye. I swiftly turn around to shoot Tony but dad beats me to it and shoots him in the chest then again in the head as he slides down the wall before landing on the ground in a puddle of blood.

"Ari..." Glenn whispers.

"We need to leave," I announce.

As if on cue, a car shows up outside.

"Dave, Tony you here?"

"Fuck," I whisper.
