Arielle age 4
"Hi I like cookies," a young asian boy says as he points to her cookies.

"Me too," Arielle says. The young asian boy smiles and sits next to her. "Want one?" she says.

"YES!" he says excitedly. Arielle laughs.

"My names Arielle, I'm 4, I also get called Ari and Elle and Ellie," she replies smiling.

"I'm Glenn, I'm 5, thanks for the cookie. You're cool wanna be friends?" he asks.

"YES!" Arielle replies, mocking Glenn from earlier. They both laugh. Glenn snatches another cookie and quickly eats it. Arielle glares and folds her arms, "HEY!"

Glenn stands up, "Ari we're friends remember?" Glenn says smiling, holding his hand out to her.

She stares for a moment then smiles, "Forever?" she questions, grabbing his hand.

"And ever," he replies. They smile and laugh.

Present day.

Arielle's P.O.V

Tomorrow it's my birthday! BUT tomorrow is also the day Glenn has to go on a run. Humph, my best friend is gonna be gone all day, but Im kind of happy because he's decided to take a group so I don't have to worry about him to much. I tried to force him to stay but SHANE insists we need more supplies. Buzzkill.

All I'd want for a present is for my dad to be here and Glenny to come back alive. A girl can dream and hope right ?

Daryl's P.O.V

Apparently it's Ari's birthday tomorrow, I don't know the girl well but shes nice and real pretty.

She and her lil' chinaman boyfriend are the only nice ones. Sometimes I think he's just nice to us 'cause he's scared shitless of us. Ari's geniunely nice, at least I like to think. She thanks us for the food and talks to us like we ain't white trash, she's a good one. It's annoying the way she treats that chinaman though, they may as well be glued together, she treats him like a damn baby too.

I wish she'd look at me like tha... Woah no.
Fuck, look at what this bitch is doing to me, I can't like her can I.

Oh speak of the chinaman...
"Hey, uh Daryl, uhm I was just wondering if ah, you've seen Ari anywhere?" Chinaman asks.

"Why the hell are you askin' me for huh?!" I snapped. Getting up from my seat. He steps back.

"Woah woah, alright, I was just asking shesh," he said throwing his hands in surrender. "No need to get yo-"

"You lookin for me Glenny?" she yells in a New Jersey accent, coming out of Shane's tent. I sit back down.

Shit, she's gorgeo-

"There you areeee! I was wondering if you wanna come to the lake with me?" he asks.

"Of course, you don't have to ask me twice!" she says walking towards us, why can't I stop looking at her... "Hey Daryl!" she smiles at me. I just nod.

Damn it.

"You wanna come to the lake too?" she asks me.

Yes.

"Nah," I reply. Fuck.

"Alright then, come on lets go then Glenny," she grabs his hand, smiling and pulls him towards their tent.

That smile woah.

"I'm coming, I'm coming," he says, laughing.

"See ya later Daryl," she yells back.

I hope so.

I watch her leave and try and shake my head of those thoughts.

Glenn's P.O.V

Daryl's odd.

One minute he's snappy then Ari shows up and he's calm and can't take his eyes off her. I'll be sure to mention it to her later.

We ended up having a good swim in the lake it was freaking hot today.

I love this girl. I'm pretty sure it's in a sisterly way though. We start making our way back.

"Hey Ari, I'm sorry I won't be here for your birth-"

"Glenny," she sighs and stops and stands infront of me putting her hands on my shoulders.

Oh god shes annoyed, maybe I should stay I mean it wo-

"don't even mention it, it's fine I understand. All I want is for you to come back in one LIVING piece. The living part is important." She reassures me smiling.

Oh thank god.

I smile, "I can try, no promises though."

She laughs, "As long as you try," she turns to walk beside me.

I put my arm around her shoulder and pulled her into my side as she wrapped both of her arms around my waist. I definitely have to get her a present tomorrow.

I have too.

We reach camp and I feel a few stares from Daryl? He's more like glaring at us.
Uhm okay, then we have Dale grinning at us, same with Lori and Carol.

Jeez guys we're just friends. Best friends.

We finally let go of each other, she walks towards Lori but I quickly stop her, she turns around and I hold up my pinky, she smiles at me and connects our pinkies.

"Forever Ari ?" I say, she grins.

"And ever," she replies I smile and hug her.

We get a few "Aw's" but ignore them.

My connection with this special girl is amazing. We break the hug and I quickly go talk to Andrea to get her input of what I should get Ari tomorrow.

It's Amy's birthday soon too so Andrea will probably get Amy something.

Daryl's P.O.V

Seeing Ari and that chink together pisses me of and I dont know why but whatever. I'll get to hug her one day, hopefully.

Doubt it.

Over dinner they decided who's going on the run tomorrow, it's going to be Chinaman, Old Blondie, the beaner, the black guy, the black chick and Merle.

I told him not to go but it's all part of his plan when we rob the camp.

I don't want to steal from Ari but Merle's right, he always reminds me no one doesn't care about me. So why should I care about her. I don't care for no one.

I'm going hunting tomorrow and I'll be gone for a day or two then we'll be out of this misfit camp and away from her.

Away from her...
