After days of delaying Lisa's presentation, the long awaited day has finally arrived.
Lisa had spent countless hours preparing and rehearsing, and the anticipation weighed heavily on her shoulders. As she sat into the conference room, she felt a mix of excitement and nervousness, but there was also a determination to make this presentation a success.
LISA POV.
"Good morning everyone, Mr. Bae will be running 15 minutes late,"
Mr. Bae secretary's announcement gives me a sense of relief.
Though I had presented in front of countless people over the years, the nervous butterflies still fluttered in my stomach. I briefly contemplated stepping outside for a breath of fresh air, but my plans were interrupted by a stranger's approach.
"Are you Architect Manoban? It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm one of Mr. Bae's friends," he introduced himself with a friendly handshake.
I reciprocated with a smile, "Nice to meet you as well, sir."
"I can't believe you're even more stunning in person. I've seen numerous articles about you and your firm, and now I know the rumors are true," he complimented.
"Thank you for your kind words," I replied with a gracious smile.
With a warm smile, he patted my back and said, "Alright, see you around, and good luck," before departing.
I headed to the restroom to freshen up, glancing at myself in the mirror, ensuring everything was in place.
A little while later, someone entered the restroom. I could see her reflection in the mirror, and when our eyes met, she offered a small, friendly smile. She looked familiar, but I couldn't quite place her.
She took her lipstick from her bag and expertly applied it to her lips. The vibrant red hue caught my attention, like a fresh strawberry.
As I turned to leave, she called out my name, "You're Architect Manoban, right?"
I turned back to her, slightly surprised, and replied, "Yes, we haven't met before, have we? You look strangely familiar."
"No, this is our first meeting," she smiled.
I couldn't help but notice how her smile made her look even more beautiful.
"Well, I'll be on my way. I hope you can impress my father today."
"Wait, you're Mr. Bae's daughter?" I inquired.
She nodded and left me standing there, momentarily speechless.
The room was filled with colleagues and clients, and the resort owner himself was in attendance, all eagerly waiting for her to begin. Lisa took a deep breath and started her presentation.
"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I am pleased to welcome you all to this project presentation. I am Architect Lisa Manoban, a licensed professional entrusted with the design and supervision of various construction projects. Today, I will share with you high-level concept ideas for the resort."
Lisa spoke with confidence and passion, employing slides and visuals to bolster her points. Her voice resonated clearly, and her explanations were precise, leaving no room for uncertainty.
I present to you the architectural model for the Jeju Island project. As you can see, I have chosen not to expand the pool area to allow guests to fully appreciate the space and the breathtaking northwest view.
"Wow, that's a great idea, I appreciate it," Mr. Bae commented.
In this segment, I have increased the width of the support pillars to ensure a well-balanced foundation, capable of withstanding the softness of the ground.
