Chapter 13

"What did Lisa say?" Hanbin inquired with a hint of impatience after Suelgi speaking with Lisa.

"Relax, she's on her way, bro. You know her; she's always fashionably late," Jackson chimed in while savoring his beer.

“You know he can't function without Lisa," Bambam added playfully, sharing a knowing grin with Jackson.

"What's the deal with Hanbin and Lisa's bond?" Jisoo whispered to Rosé. They were secretly dating, even though they hadn't admitted it yet, despite their friends' persistent teasing.

"Lisa and Hanbin are like siblings. They're so close, even more so than her own brother Bobby," Rosé explained.

"Ah, I see," Jisoo responded with a nod.

"She's here! Cheers to Lisa for being fashionably late,"

Jackson raised his glass, and a round of laughter and clinking glasses followed as Lisa made her entrance.

Lisa greeting everyone in her usual lively manner.

Seulgi, playfully concerned about her own status, inquired, "And what about me?"

Lisa affectionately patted her back and playfully remarked, "Don't block the view."

As Lisa warmly greeted Rosé, her eyes instantly locked onto Jennie standing behind her. A delighted twinkle filled Lisa's eyes, but she managed to conceal her reaction. Jennie looked absolutely elegant and enchanting.

Seulgi leaned in and whispered, "Close your agape mouth, Lisa, or else your secret would be revealed." She teased her friend.

Lisa hesitated, her gaze still fixed on Jennie, and then stammered, "What secret?"

"The secret that Architect Lisa Manoban is completely enchanted by her charm," Seulgi giggled.

Lisa blushed and tried to deny it, saying, "Oh, it's not like that."

When Lisa arrived, everyone gathered around the dining table to enjoy their meal.

Seulgi served a plate of food for Jennie, saying, "Here, Jennie. Give it a try. Bobby insisted on making this just for you."

Jennie expressed her gratitude with a warm smile, saying, "Oh, wow, thank you, Bobby. I appreciate it."

Irene questioned Seulgi, "Why are you teasing them?"

Seulgi responded innocently, "I was just being nice, Irene. Who am I teasing?" She glanced at Lisa with a playful twinkle in her eye.

Unbeknownst to Lisa, Seulgi and Irene had a plan to tease her in a playful manner, a way to get back at Lisa for teasing Seulgi during her recent grocery shopping trip. It was all in good spirits and meant for some friendly banter.

Rosé, concerned about her cooking, admitted, "I'm sorry, Jennie, if my cooking wasn't up to par. I had a tough time following the recipe, I had to look it up online."

Jisoo chimed in, "Maybe it would taste even better if Bobby cooked it himself."

Seulgi couldn't hide her grin, thinking that her plan was working as intended. She occasionally glanced at Lisa, who remained uncharacteristically quiet while the others enjoyed their food.

Jennie reassured Rosé, "No, the meal was delicious, Rosé, I loved it. You've never failed my taste buds when it comes to food."

Bobby playfully joined in, "I'll return the favor next time, Jennie. I'll personally cook for you."

Jennie thanked him warmly, but her eyes remained on Lisa, who sat in silence and barely touched her food.

Jennie continued to observe Lisa, her curiosity growing. She wanted to understand Lisa's thoughts, especially regarding her current mood.
