Two year later...

"Hon, if you don't hurry, we're going to be late for work," Jennie called out.

Jennie was bustling in the kitchen, diligently preparing food for breakfast. She swiftly moved back and forth between the stove and the table, setting up their morning meal.

Quietly, Lisa approached her from behind, wrapping her arms around Jennie's waist and planting a sweet kiss on her cheek. "Happy anniversary, hon. I love you," Lisa whispered with a heartfelt smile.

Jennie's eyes lit up, and she turned to face Lisa. "Happy 1st anniversary, my love." She leaned in to place a tender kiss on Lisa's lips.

After their brief moment, Jennie returned her attention to the meal. "Alright, I'll just put it on the table," she said, finishing the last touches.

Lisa, however, had a mischievous gleam in her eye. "You know what, hon? I've decided I'm not going to work today."

Hearing this, Jennie turned around, concern creasing her forehead. "Why? Is something wrong? Are you not feeling well?" She gently touched Lisa's forehead and neck, checking for signs of illness. "Why aren't you going to work?" Jennie couldn't help but ask multiple questions, her worry apparent.

Lisa's arms enveloped Jennie's waist, and she nuzzled her face against Jennie's shoulder, whispering, "It's our anniversary, hon. Let's stay home, you're always buried in work. Take some time for yourself." As she spoke, Lisa began to unbutton Jennie's shirt, her kisses igniting a gentle passion.

Jennie couldn't help but giggle as she turned to face Lisa. "Hon, you know, I have a very important apointment today, rigth? We already talked this last night.” She leaned in to share a tender kiss with Lisa.

Their lips parted, but Lisa seized the moment to kiss her more ardently. "I've missed you," she whispered, gazing deeply into Jennie's eyes. "Come on, let's stay home today," she pleaded.

Jennie hesitated, her thoughts torn between her responsibilities and the love of her life. "Hon, I have a meeting today," she explained, regret tinging her voice.

Lisa's longing gaze was unwavering. "So what? I need you." She continued to kiss Jennie passionately but abruptly ceased when Jennie's phone rang.

"Hon, hold on, I'll just answer this," Jennie said, her voice filled with a sense of urgency as she rushed to the counter to retrieve her phone. While Jennie became engrossed in her phone call, Lisa watched her with affection, a playful twinkle in her eye as she bit into the apple, patiently waiting for her partner's return.

Lisa threw her head back on her chair.

I really understand why most people don't like Monday. But I'm not like most, my work weeks never end. Every day is like Monday. Fucking Monday. I reached for a glass of whiskey, taking measured sips to numb the relentless stream of thoughts swirling in my mind.

With a brisk movement, I drained the glass and rose from my chair. I stretched my neck from side to side, then sauntered over to the glass balcony door of my office. As I sipped my drink, I gazed out at the bustling city of Seoul, its energy a stark contrast to my own inner turmoil.

Lisa contemplation was abruptly interrupted when the office door swung open.

"Happy anniversary, babe!"

Lisa swiveled in her chair, surprised by the unexpected intrusion.

“What are you doing here?"

She questioned the intruder, irritation evident in her tone, as she grabbed another glass and began pouring herself another serving of whiskey.

"Well, Jennie is at work, right? So, I'll be your Jennie today," Seulgi teased, her voice tinged with laughter.
