Chapter 21

After the unexpected encounter, V's blood boiled with anger, and he hated the feeling that he felt jealous when he witnessed Lisa's possessiveness over Jennie.

The heated exchange with Lisa had tested his patience, but he managed to keep his composure, knowing that Jennie was present and that losing control would only add fuel to the fire.

As he stormed out of the building, V's jaw clenched-unspoken words gnawed at him, leaving him feeling unsettled and annoyed.

Needing to clear his head, V decided to take a walk to ease his frustration. With each step, he tried to push away the lingering tension, but the memory of Lisa's words lingered like a bitter taste in his mouth.

To his surprise, as he turned a corner, V spotted a old friend whom he hadn't seen in years. Shocked by the unexpected timing, V's anger began to fade, replaced by a mix of surprise and relief.

"Jisoo, unnie?" V exclaimed, his voice tinged with disbelief as he approached his friend.

Jisoo turned around, and was taken a back, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight of V. A smile spread across her face as she hurried over to greet him.

"V! Is that really you?" Jisoo exclaimed, his voice filled with genuine excitement.

V nodded, a sense of nostalgia washing over him at the sight of Jisoo. "Yeah, it's me," he replied, his voice soft with emotion.

Flashback

After Jennie received a call from her mother, she hurriedly left the rooftop with Jiyong.

Jennie looked for Jisoo hysterically with tears in her eyes. Jisoo caught her and approached worriedly, "Jennie! what happened, why are you crying?" Jisoo asked, concern evident in her voice.

"Jisoo...I need you, please go to V on the rooftop in case something happens to him, we have to leave, dad rushed to the hospital."

Before Jisoo could ask again, Jennie and Jiyong quickly left.

When Jisoo went to a rooftop, she saw several empty beer bottles scattered around, and V lying on the floor as if he had collapsed.

She never thought of seeing him in such a miserable state.

Jisoo walked over to the bottles and started to pick them up when V responded in a fumbling voice. “Go and get me some more drinks, please unnie.”

“V, your drunk.” She caressed him and tried to get him back in his senses.

He didn’t even bother to answer her and whispered in a drunken voice, “Why is she doing this to me? What have I done not to expect her love?”

Jisoo leaned down to hear his speech as he was not audible to her. Upon finding her close to him, V questioned, “Unnie you tell me, am I not handsome?”

“Umm.. I can't say." She replied.

“I wanted to confess my feelings for her but I think I have lost her forever and ever. My heart was only belongs to Jennie. And now she left me with Jiyong, I don’t understand.” A drops of tears rolled down from V’s swollen red eyes.

Jisoo felt her eyes moistened after she saw him crying and sobbing for someone he has love with the core of his heart.

Present…

V and Jisoo embraced each other, caught in a whirlwind of emotions, as they reminisce about the past.
