SEULGI POV.

"Are Lisa and Jennie coming? It's already 8:00p.m, and they're not here. Should I call Lisa?"

Hanbin's concern was evident as he reached for his phone.

"Let's just wait for them, it's still early,"

Jackson chimed in, sipping his beer, and I couldn't help but think he had turned into quite the drinker.

"Jackson! I told you not to drink on an empty stomach," Rosé scolded him, and I silently cheered for her.

"Okay, okay! Sorry, I just wanted a drink."

I laughed at his face as he raised his hand as if giving up in fear of Rosé's curse.

I couldn't help but keep an eye on the time and worry. Lisa and Jennie had never been this late when we were getting together. I wondered why they hadn't arrived yet and why Lisa wasn't answering my calls.

I turned to Wendy and inquired, ", Wendy, have you called Jennie? What did she say?"

"I've tried to reach her, but I can't get through. I also sent her a text, but there's been no response," Wendy replied.

"Perhaps she's just busy finishing something at the office and doesn't want to be disturbed," Irene suggested, offering a bit of reassurance.

Irene’s words calmed my nerves somewhat, so I decided to start preparing the food for when they arrived.

*Doorbell rings*

My heart raced, they might be here already. I hurried to the door to answer it.

But what I saw left me in shock. My eyes widened as I watched Lisa and Jennie deeply engrossed in a passionate kiss, almost oblivious to my presence, as if they hadn't noticed me at all.

I playfully tapped the gate to get their attention and shot them a playful, somewhat disgusted look. "Aren't you done yet? You're late, but you're still lost in each other." I teased, and their laughter filled the air.

Once we all entered the house, Lisa explained why they late, "It took me a while to pick up Jennie."

I couldn't help but notice the way she looked at Jennie, there was something in her gaze that hinted at an exciting night ahead. I couldn't help but think this was going to be a memorable evening.

Bambam, ever the curious one, chimed in, "Jennie’s company is just nearby. Why did it take you so long?"

Lisa, with her trademark wit, hushed Bambam by playfully feeding her a chicken wing. I knew her explanation was just an excuse, and soon she sat with Jennie, the two of them wrapped up in their own world.

"Man, you look so tired. Where are you two from?"

I teased, pretending to be innocent as I glanced at Jennie but she was already glaring at me as if she wanted to eat me alive. I felt like I had stumbled into a horror movie scene with a vengeful ghost out for blood.

I quickly backpedaled, shaking my head as if regretting my question. "I... I mean, you've come from work, right? Maybe you're just tired," I stammered, offering a reassuring smile to alleviate the tension. She was genuinely intimidating, and I scooted closer to Rosé for comfort.

"Jackson, can you lead the prayer and include me?" I pleaded, avoiding Jennie's intense gaze.

Jackson looked at me, clearly surprised. "Huh? Why me? I don't know how to pray." He hesitated and then turned to Bambam, "Bro, you can do it."

But Bambam shook his head, declining, "No, bro. I just finished my prayers."

Rosé intervened with exasperation, "Enough! What do I expect from you two?" She reprimanded the two, taking the lead in the prayer.
