V had been trying to reach Jennie, but his calls and texts went unanswered. V couldn't help but wonder if Lisa's presence was the reason behind Jennie's silence.
As he sat alone in his house, thoughts of Jennie consumed him. He longed to be in her presence, even if just as friends, to rid himself of these thoughts. With that desire in mind, he decided to visit Jennie at her house.
Meanwhile, V parked his car not far from Jennie’s place and noticed another vehicle parked outside. Curiosity got the better of him, prompting him to take a closer look. What he witnessed sent a wave of shock and anger through him.
Inside the car, Jennie and Lisa were sharing a passionate kiss, their bodies pressed close, arms tightly wrapped around each other. They appeared entirely engrossed in the moment, unaware of everything around them.
V's heart ached as he watched the two people engage in such an intimate act. He felt like an intruder, witnessing a private scene that was never meant for his eyes. He backed away quietly, retreating from the house, his emotions torn between sadness and heartbreak. The painful reality that he had to confront left him with a heavy heart.
It was a calm evening after they shared a last moment together. Lisa had to discuss her upcoming departure with Jennie as she was heading to Jeju Island tomorrow to start her project. They both knew that after a wonderful week together, they would be separated once again.
Jennie smiled warmly as they gazed into each other's eyes, "I'm going to miss you so much."
Lisa squeezed her hand lovingly, "I know, it's going to be a challenging project, and it might take a few weeks. I'll miss you too."
Jennie nodded, her touch full of affection as she reached to cup Lisa's cheek. "I understand it's part of your job.”
“Thank you, hon. It’s just few weeks and then I’ll come back home.”
Jennie's eyes softened with longing, "Don’t let your work consume you completely. Don't forget to take breaks and enjoy the beauty of the island."
Lisa nodded, her heart warmed by Jennie's concern. "I will, and think of you." She paused, her eyes filled with longing, "I wish you could come with me."
Jennie smiled warmly, "Me too, but I have my own responsibilities here. Plus, I'll be busy planning a surprise for your return." She winked playfully to lighten the mood.
Lisa leaned in for a sweet and affectionate kiss, "I love you, Jennie."
Jennie returned the kiss with equal affection, "I love you too, Lisa. You'll do great in Jeju, and I'll be here, eagerly waiting for your return."
With a kiss and a shared embrace, Jennie and Lisa reassured each other of their love and support despite the upcoming separation, their hearts filled with affection and anticipation.
The next morning,
Seulgi sat at her desk, the soft glow of her computer screen casting shadows across her weary face. Despite the mountains of paperwork piled before her, her mind refused to focus, the echoes of her conversation with Lisa reverberating through her thoughts like a relentless drumbeat.
Irene concerned furrow creasing her brow as she noticed Seulgi's restless state. It was rare for Seulgi to be so visibly unsettled, her usually composed demeanor faltering under the weight of her inner turmoil.
"Seulgi, you seem... off today. Is everything okay?" Irene asked gently, approaching her with a look of genuine concern.
Seulgi forced a smile, attempting to mask the turmoil brewing beneath the surface. "I'm fine, Irene. Just a little distracted, that's all."
But Irene could see through the facade, her eyes searching Seulgi's face for any trace of the truth she was withholding. "You can talk to me, Seulgi. Whatever's on your mind, I'm here for you."
Seulgi hesitated, torn between the desire to confide in Irene and the weight of the secret she carried from her conversation with Lisa. She knew she couldn't burden Irene with the truth, not when it involved betraying Lisa's confidence.
"It's just work stuff, Irene. Nothing you need to worry about," Seulgi replied, her voice betraying none of the turmoil raging within her.
Irene studied her for a moment, her expression softening with understanding. Though she longed to ease Seulgi's burden, she respected her need for privacy. "Alright, Seulgi. Just know that I'm here for you whenever you're ready to talk."
As Irene wrapped her in a comforting embrace, Seulgi felt a pang of guilt tug at her heart. She knew she couldn't keep the truth from Irene forever, but for now, she would carry the weight of her secret alone, praying that one day she would find the courage to share the burden with the one she loved most.
