JENNIE POV.
I arrived at the club and pushed through the entrance. The place was packed, and I started scanning the crowd, searching for my friends. It seemed like we hadn't reserved the VIP room this time, and I was in the mood for some mingling and perhaps meeting some interesting people. A bit of my wilder side was surfacing, and I couldn't deny that I missed it. I grabbed my phone and dialed Jisoo.
"*$***?" The noise inside the club made it almost impossible to hear her.
"Jisoo! I'm at the entrance already. I can't hear you!"
"Jennie!! Look to your right."
Following her instructions, I spotted Irene waving her hand. I joined them at their table, greeted by hugs. "Where's Wendy?" I inquired.
"She's out with Bambam," Irene replied.
"Still deeply in love with that cheater, huh," I overheard Jisoo mutter. I knew she had trouble accepting Bambam's past infidelity.
I voiced my thoughts, "If she loves him and is happy, we can't do much to stop her."
"I know, but I still have my doubts about that guy."
"Alright, enough of that. We're here to have fun, so grab your glass, and let's toast to Wendy's complicated love life!" Irene chimed in, lifting her glass.
Time passed, and Wendy finally arrived at the club. To her surprise, she found Jisoo sitting alone at the table, looking more than a little worse for wear.
"Hey, Jisoo, are you okay?" Wendy asked, concerned about her friend's state.
Jisoo grumbled, "What do you think? I'm the only one drinking here. Those two don't drink at all."
"Why did it take you so long, and where's Bambam?" Jisoo inquired.
"He's just looking for a parking spot, he'll be here soon," Wendy replied, her eyes scanning the club. She continued, "Where are Jennie and Irene?"
"Irene is in the bathroom, and Jennie went outside to talk on the phone with her mom," Jisoo replied with a half-drunk slur.
After Jennie had her conversation with her mother, she made her way back inside the club. Just as she did, Wendy went out to pick up Bambam.
"What happened to you?" Jisoo asked Irene, who took a tissue from her purse to dab at her dress.
"Some guy ran into me in the bathroom," Irene frowned, her irritation evident.
"Where? Did he apologize or anything?" Jisoo's voice raised in alarm.
Irene shook her head. "No."
Jisoo's eyes blazed with fury. "Who's that jerk? I'll teach him a lesson."
Just then, Jennie, who had reentered the club, asked, "What's going on here?"
Irene explained the situation to Jennie, emphasizing that it was just an accident and suggested they let it go.
Just then, Wendy and Bambam arrived.
"Sorry, guys. We're late. Bambam had a hard time finding a parking space," Wendy explained with a smile while stealing glances at Bambam.
Jennie noticed Jisoo's intense stare at Bambam and hoped she wouldn't do anything reckless.
Wendy introduced her boyfriend, although her friends were already familiar with him.
Jisoo couldn't help but ask, her voice somewhat pointed, "So, how does it feel to meet Wendy's friends again?"
Jennie, not wanting any tension, subtly pinched Jisoo's side.
