y/n POV

it's 2:18am and every one else is asleep but i have insomnia which means i can't sleep even when my body is begging me too. I have tried everything to get myself to sleep. I've read, drank warm milk, lied in my bed with no electronics. Basically name something to help you get to sleep and I've probably tried it. I didn't know what to do so i resorted to the last option.

I stumbled out of bed and quietly made my way to Yelena's room. It only took a minuet because her room was just round the corner. I gently knocked on the door. No response. I went in and just as i thought she was peacefully sleeping, her blond hair looked scruffy from the friction of the pillow but she still looked adorable. I gently shook her until she started to stir and looked up at we with sleepy eyes

Yelena's POV 

I woke up to y/n looking at me. I turned around to glance at the clock 2:21am. "What's wrong dorogoy (dear)" my voice was more raspy that i thought it would be. " I couldn't sleep, i tried everything i don't know what else to do" her voice was laced in guilt because she woke me up but i didn't mind. " How about we go on a walk or something, would that be okay" i asked in a reassuring tone. I did to show her i did not in the slightest mind that she woke me up in fact it was kind of nice knowing that she trusts me. she shook her head slightly to signal yes and with that i got up. 

i grabbed a hoodie for her and put on my shoes, she put the hoodie over her head and we made our way out the front door. Before we left she looked at the vodka on the table and looked back at me asking for permission to bring it. I gave her a stern no look but she gave me puppy dog eyes so i grabbed it and pulled her outside.

y/n POV

YAY she brought the vodka if Nat was to find out that her little sister let me have vodka at the early hours of the morning I'm almost certain she would kill both of us but neither of us were thinking about that right now. 

We slowly made our way to a park near the compound when we got there nearly a quarter of the vodka was gone. Yelena looked at me as she realized and took the bottle hastily. We took turns drinking until it was almost gone. It was quiet but peaceful not awkward at all. It was dark but the moons lighting was bright enough to the light glimmer in her eyes. She slowly turned to me breaking the silence with a question. " How come you couldn't sleep lyubov moya ( my love)" i turned away trying to form a response. I looked at her with a face of defeat and mumbled " i have insomnia. I've had it since i was a kid, haven't had a decent sleep since i was born" i awkwardly chuckled looking back at the stars in the sky. In the corner of my eye i could see she was looking at me with a concerned look. " i can usually so something to get by but tonight was different nothing was working. I'm really sorry i woke you up." "hey, hey, I don't mind that you woke me up i would rather you wake me up than suffer alone, you got that ?" I nodded my head slowly.

Yelena's POV

I was worried about her now that i think about it she always has black bags under her eyes. She brought me out of me spiraling about her when she asked if i wanted to go on the swings with her. i got up and said " race you" but before i could even look at her for a 123 go she was gone. we were both extremely drunk so within seconds we was a heap on the floor because our legs had betrayed us. We were laughing and slowly crawled to the swings. It felt like we was going higher than the clouds even though i knew we were only a couple feet away from the ground. Y/n had the brightest smile on her face and i knew she felt the same. I would do anything for that moment to last forever because at that moment i could take on the world and i could do it all with her. We stayed like that for 40 minuets content and loving everything and then suddenly our phones was ringing. It was Nat. SHIT. 

I picked up and was still giggling. "Where the hell are you and Y/n!" to say she was mad was an under statement. I could hardly form a sentence and y/n was laughing at me. She snatched the phone " o-oh heyyyyyy Natyyyy" she giggled down the phone "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU ITS 5:30 IN THE MORNING AND FRIDAY SAYS THAT YOU HAVE BEEN OUT SINCE 2:30" she yelled down the phone, she was so loud even i could hear her. " we are at the pick sis chillll" i managed to get the words out. "I'M COMING TO GET YOU BOTH NOW!!" I looked at y/n who was trying to contain her laughter as the phone hang up. She burst with laughter and so did i. She kept repeating how we were fucked and she not wrong by any means.

Y/n POV

What felt like an eternity later a car pulled up next to the park. It was Nat. She stomped over and looked at me and Yelena led on the floor in a heap from jumping of the swings. We could hardly walk a meter without falling so she practically dragged us into the car. We both sat in the back laughing at each other as we did stupid things like pulling faces at Nat. She was not amused. You got really sleepy so rested your head on Yelena's shoulder.

Yelena's POV

Y/n's breathe had evened out so i looked down at her to see her peacefully sleeping on my shoulder. I haven't known her for long but god was she perfect. Her seat belt was digging into her neck due to the position of  her neck so i decided to take of her seat belt and put mine around her. That way she would be comfortable. 10 minutes went by and i finally saw the compound so i gently shook y/n.

She woke up and we stumbled into the compound with Nat. As we burst through the doors everyone was looking at us worried because we had basically had just vanished in the middle of the night. " Oh hey everyone " i slurred. Nat slapped me on the back of the head and i looked at her displeased. Y/n started getting sleepy again i could tell because her body was going more limp and she was drifting off. I stumbled up the stairs and Nat was carrying y/n. Nat was about to put her in her room when i heard her mumble " no i want to stay with Lena" so Nat started to carry her to me and asked if it was okay, i nodded.

Y/n  POV

i started to stir awake as i was placed on Yelena's bed. She then climbed in next to me and i heard Nat say " If you think either of you are getting out of this you are so wrong. As soon as you wake up your in for it i swear to god." Usually i would get annoyed at even the thought of getting told off but this was different i was in Yelena's arms i was safe and everything would be okay in that moment. I clung to her like she would disappear at any moment and i drifted off.

Yelena's POV

almost immediately after Nat left the room y/n's body clung to my body as i held her in my arms  and she fell asleep. I kissed the hair line at the top of her head and whispered " goodnight lyubov moya sleep well" And then i fell asleep.

When i woke up it was 6pm and y/n started to wake and Nat screamed at us for 10 mins with a lecture but let me tell you it was worth it and I'd do it again and again and again with the same consequences.
