Nat had a lot of work to catch up on as you kind off took up most of her time when she wasn't on her missions. This led to a big stack of mission reports with a close due date waiting to be tackled.

It was a Thursday night and you had a bad day at work but when you entered the compound you saw Nat's office door shut. You knew that when the door was shut she was doing work and you was not to disturb her. But all you wanted was for her to hold you.

You grudged back to your shared room to get changed out of the un comfy work clothes. You got into a pair of joggers and chucked a hoodie on and did your hair into a really messy bun.

You started on some work that you didn't do in the office so you didn't fall behind and get shouted at by your boss again.

You sat down at the desk In the room and lit a vanilla scented candle In hoped to calm yourself down without being in Nat's arms.

2 hours had passed and you had just finished all of your work so you decided to go downstairs and see if Nat had finished her work but to no surprise the door was still shut.

It was around 7 now and you knew that she wouldn't have eaten so you came to the conclusion to bring her dinner.

You made her favourite and carried the plate towards her office. You still this lingering weight on your chest and your body felt really tired.

You knocked on the door twice to alert her of your presence and she just grumbled in response. You knew she must have had a long day with all the paper work.

You slowly made your way to her desk and placed the plate in front of her moving some work out of the way. She looked up at you from her chair lovingly that you brought her food but then looked at you with a very concerned face when she saw the bags that underlined her lovers weary eyes.

"what's wrong baby" her voice was soft with absolutely no hint of annoyance of you disturbing her work.

"rough day" you announced feeling the weight get heavier as you longed to be in her arms. She opened her arms for you and without thinking about it you crawled into them and wrapped your body around hers like a perfect mould and rested your head in the crook of her neck.

She ate her food and went back to her work but you stayed in her arms and felt sleep creep up on you.

You let yourself drift off knowing you were safe in Nat's arms and you always would be. Within a couple of minutes you was fully asleep still clinging onto Nat for extra safety.

Nat noticed how your breath had evened out and decided she had done enough work for the day and she would take you up to bed.

She moved her hands to the back of your legs to ensure you wouldn't slip out of her arms and picked u up.

The sudden movement earned a grumble from you. "shhh honey it's okay I'm taking you to bed go back to sleep" you nestled closer into her arms and fell back asleep before you made it to the room.

She placed you into bed and climbed in next to you so she could hold you whilst she slept too. Within minutes you were both fast asleep safe with each other.
