Earth, Pacific Ocean
January 5th 1967

Kairi climbed the rough rock of the island, the ship waiting just offshore. The landing team below him with the rowboat. As he climbed over the ledge he saw it. The monster that had attacked Japan 13 years ago. Godzilla. There had been theories that another might exist when Kairi's father had killed the original. How Kairi wished he had an Oxygen Destroyer of his own in this moment. Looking up, the sky was black with millions of dragonflies, each the size of a table. The swarm twisted like a hurricane as Godzilla roared. Kairi quickly moved away from the edge of the cliff. Pulling out his camera, he hid behind a tree. He checked the film, uncovered the lens, and peered around the tree to Godzilla.

"You are judged by the actions of your father. Just as I am by mine. Prove to us. Prove to the world you are not beholden to the actions of others." Kairi said. He lifted his camera as the ground shook. A second monster arose from the ground. It was massive. Beetle like with a green body, glowing yellow eyes, and long yellow brown wings. In place of hands, it had massive drills. Kairi snapped a photo of the scene, and smiled. "Fight for us. Fight for the Earth. Because I believe that you are here on this beautiful broken world for a reason."

As if his words had reached the monster, Godzilla roared and charged. Their clash nearly shook Kairi off his feet. In the sky the swarm parted to golden light before the giant moth flew through. The swarm then chased after her like a tornado.

Ishirō sighs as he looks at the photo placed behind a glass case. The image of Godzilla and Megalon just before they fought was not something that should be in a museum. Ishirō looked over the other images his father had taken when he was alive. Godzilla's first attack on Yokohama, Daisuki Serizawa getting into a diving suit, a blurry image of what would later be confirmed as Mothra, the attacks of Rodan, and most importantly the UN meeting which officially established G-Force.

Ishirō couldn't help but notice the pattern of his family. Each member had a significant role tied to Godzilla and other Kaiju. Daisuki Serizawa for killing the first Godzilla with his lost invention, The Oxygen Destroyer. Kairi Serizawa for taking the first pictures of several monsters, and for pushing the UN for the creation of G-Force. And now Ishirō himself had led the G-Force Scientific Division.

He took a look at his watch, clearing his mind from the memories. She was late. She was always late. He paced a few times, looking at the other exhibits around the area. Every 6 months his ex-wife would meet him here at the Yokohama Theater of National History. Would she not show for once? Did Rei not want to see him?

"Daddy!"

Ishirō whirls to see Rei running up to him. She was a bit taller. He caught her in a hug with a laugh. "Rei! Look at you! You've gotten so tall!"

"She's a growing young woman." Rei's mother said. Ishirō looked to his ex-wife. Momoka Ôta. She was just as stunning as always. Short black hair parted to the left and stunning emerald eyes. She had a blue day dress with a white long sleeve and a necklace of Mothra's sigil around her neck. She had her arms crossed, her purse tucked under her left arm. She looked annoyed.

Ishirō gave a polite smile. "So she is." He agreed. "15 as I recall."

"Good of you to remember something important for once." Momoka jabbed. Ishirō set his jaw, but didn't argue. He was tired of the arguments. Momoka turned to Rei and pulled her in for a hug, kissing her on the forehead. "I'll see you in a few months."

Rei nodded softly before parting. Momoka then turned and walked off, looking back twice until she was out of view. Rei and Ishirō watched her go in awkward silence before finally, Ishirō cleared his throat.
