CYNTHIA’S POV
I woke up early to prepare a good breakfast for Silver because I found out from yaya Matilda that Silver doesn’t eat breakfast because she’s always early at school. Our conversation last night didn’t end well so I planned to make her eat breakfast to start her day healthy and of course this breakfast is also the start of how I will be winning
her back.
But my determination all fell when Silver showed up at the kitchen all dressed up. I turned my back to see her.
“Yaya, I’ll head out already. Please clean the other guest room because Akiko will be here later. We’ll fetch her now before I go to school” she said to yaya in a hurry.
She was about to turn her back when I called her attention, “wait! Aren’t you going to eat breakfast first? I’m cooking”
“Didn’t you tell her, ‘ya?” instead of answering me she averted her attention to yaya Matilda.
“S-sinabi ko k-kaso gusto ka daw po niya talaga i-ipagluto ng agahan” yaya Matilda answered in nervous.
“Malapit na to. Just take a bite before you leave” pamimilit ko pa.
“Don’t waste your energy next time. I don’t eat breakfast” she plainly said before she turned her back on us and left the house.
“Sabi ko naman sa iyo, hija” I heard yaya said but I didn’t bother to react because my confidence level dropped again.
Bagsak ang balikat na pinatay ko ang stove saka hinarap si yaya.
“Yaya, I lost my appetite. Kumain kana po diyan at aakyat na ako” I told her with while showing her my fake smile. I just don’t want her to see me disappointed or sad.
My first attempt failed and it’s really frustrating. Simula palang pero ang hirap niya na amuhin. Pano na to?
Lahat naman mahirap sa simula right? I can’t give up kaya kakayanin ko.
It looks like yaya understands my situation and didn’t asked further more questions. She just silently nodded and let me walk upstairs.
I decided to check my phone and stalked Akiko on her social media account because I wonder why Silver was so fond of her. I understand that they are bestfriends but I can’t help to think that there’s something up to them.
Ngayon ko lang to gagawin so pagbigyan niyo na ako. Stalking her never crossed my mine. Not until now.
I typed Akiko and her account immediately popped because she’s quite popular.
Her account name is ‘@Silversakie’ like wtf
And she has 15M followers while I only have 7M.
Sabagay international model siya.
I scrolled on her photos and saw some of her photos with Silver.
The 1st pic was them together with a fireworks on their background and Akiko was kissing Silver’s cheek while Silver has a smile on her face. She was smiling for God’s sake! The smile that I was longing to see since we broke up. Si Akiko lang pala ang makakapagpalabas!
I swiped and saw the second photo, it was Silver carrying Akiko on her back and Akiko was holding a bottle of beer on her hand while they were both smiling ear to ear and the last photo was the same, Akiko’s on Silver’s back but this time it’s a childhood photo.
The caption was ‘Happy New Year from us to yours. Lucky to have her in my life since we were kids!’
I scrolled for more and saw another photo of them together.
