CYNTHIA’S POV
“Hi, everyone! There’s an emergency patient on our plane. If there is a doctor or a nurse, please contact our cabin crew”
We are now currently sitting on our seat here at the business class area when we heard the announcement.
“We have an emergency patient on our flight” he repeated.
Napatingin ako sa tabi ko at wala pa din doon si Silver. She was just here awhile ago but she informed me that she needs to go to the lavatory room.
I began to get worried when I heard the announcement so I stood up from my seat.
“I think there’s an emergency guys. I’ll keep you updated later” I heard Akiko said in front of her camera. She has been filming kanina pa kasama si Sapphire na nagvvlog din kaso tulog na ito.
“Tita?” I heard Kiraz called so I looked at her.
Nakatingin na din sa akin sila Suji at Akiko na natirang hindi tulog because Rayana, Sapphire and tita Sasha are all sleeping in their respective seats.
“Stay here, honey. I’ll just go check your mom at the lavatory room” I calmly told her.
“Okay po” she innocently agreed.
I even signaled the two to look after Kiraz which they understandingly nodded.
I started looking for her in the lavatory but she wasn’t there so it made me more worried.
“His pulse are weak, his fingers are cold and sweaty” I heard Silver’s familiar soothing voice said that so I opened one of the curtains where I heard it coming from and there, I saw her on the floor with a patient in front of her.
The patient looked in pain.
The flight attendant saw me and immediately stood up to approach me.
“Hello, madam. We just have an emergency patient here but do you need anything?” she kindly asked and eventually I think she recognized me because her eyes widened in shock as she put her hands to her mouth to cover it.
“Oh! It’s you, Miss Cynthia. I’m sorry I didn’t recognize you” she added.
Damn! Another tall woman. I’m wearing a heels and she’s wearing too! So, I have to look up very high to talk to her.
“Hi! I don’t need anything, I was just looking for her. She’s with me” I answered with a kind smile while pointing to Silver who is currently so busy and focused on the patient.
“His lungs are fine. I can clearly hear it but the sound of his heartbeat is a bit odd” she spoke again with a creased forehead.
“blood pressure?” she asked and looked back to see the flight attendant and mukhang ngayon niya lang ako napansin.
I gave her a smile which she returned with a light smile.
“oh! it’s 70 and 50” the flight attendant immediately answered in jittery.
Silver nodded and went back on checking the patient.
“I think it’s cardiac tamponade” she professionally declared.
“Are you certain with that, doc?” the flight attendant questioned carefully.
“I’m going to check it. I’ll just go get my tools. I’ll be back” she answered but when she’s about to stood up, I volunteered and told her that I’ll get it for her.
“okay, it’s just on my hand carry bag on the ipad space” she agreed.
I went back to our area and immediately grabbed her back to look for her emergency kit.
