Truthfully to what she had said, she is now quietly walking me back to the room where I am currently staying. I wanna start a conversation to crack the awkward atmosphere that is surrounding us so I decided to ask her.
“Silver my love” malandi kong tawag dito to call for her attention kaya napalingon ito sa akin habang nakakunot ang noo at natigilan sa paglalakad.
“Stop calling me that” she said frowning.
“what if ayoko?” I asked teasingly.
She just gave me a glare and started walking again which made me almost run to catch up to her big steps. I clung my arms on hers when I reached her and felt her jolted due to my sudden movement. Good thing is she just let me clung on her. See? May improvement ang treatment niya sa akin.
“Chill, baby. I just want to ask you something” I said giggling at her reaction.
“Go on” tipid niyang sabi habang patuloy pa din sa paglalakad at diretso lang ang tingin sa daan.
Hay nako! Ito talaga yung mga panahon na mapapasabi nalang ako na sana naging daan nalang ako para sa akin siya nakatingin. Pesteng daan! We’re not gonna tripped naman siguro if she’ll just give me one glance no?
Masyado na akong baliw dito kay Silver pati sa daan nabubwisit na ako.
Actually nakapasok na kami sa loob ng mansion niya at umaakyat na sa pagkahaba haba niyang grand staircase.
“I’m just wondering, how you bought this property? kasi diba you have to be a resident here in Cuba to own a property here” I said curiously.
Di naman siguro masamang maging marites sa mga gantong bagay kasi may matututunan naman ako. I’m thinking of buying a property na din kasi here since I like beaches.
“Connections” she simply said.
Napafacepalm naman ako sa sagot niya. Akala ko pa naman may matututunan ako. Fuck connections!
“Please elaborate, love. I wanna buy a property here too!” pangungulit ko at niyugyog pa ang braso niya.
“what kind of property and why would you wanna buy one?” she asked as she averted her gaze on me.
Yiiee interesado na sa akin. Lol sige asa pa! Baka mamaya marites lang din pala siya.
“I want a house here too just like this. You know I love beaches so yeah I love it here already. The sound of waves calms my nerves whenever I’m stressed. Parang ang saya lang magbakasyon and magrelax dito after a busy day from work and everything” I answered with an explanation.
Gilid din kasi to ng beach itong mansion niya so she has free access of the beach. It’s actually a beach mansion.
“Ang inggitera mo naman, Cynthia. Tsk gaya gaya” she scoffed.
I was shocked at what she said and stopped walking as I looked at her in disbelief.
“Hoy! Sumasagot kana ng ganyan ah” natatawang sabi ko.
Gago! Si Silver magtatagalog na nga lang ayan pa sasabihin.
“Just kidding” she let out a smile which made my heart skipped as I stared at her in awe. Omg! She smiled at me.
“Natulala kana diyan. Am I that beautiful?” she said teasing as she grabbed my hand and opened the door in front of us. I didn’t notice that we already reached my room.
“Damn! You smiled! You smiled at me!” I exaggeratedly said while pointing at her face.
Para akong nanalo sa lotto ngayon sa tuwa. I’ve been hoping for this to happen since the day we broke up. To see her smile at me again. To be the reason for her smiles again.
