It was already dark when we got back from Antipolo. We headed to my pad because of Miyu. She stayed there because she couldn't stay alone in Cynthia’s pad.
“Where do you guys went? Iniwan niyo ako!” Miyu ranted.
“Natae kasi yang si Nahla” Cynthia answered.
“Ang tagal namang tumae, ate. Inabot ng gabi?”
That’s all I heard because I already ran to Sapphire and hugged her in excitement. Pumulupot ako na parang tarsier sa kanya kaya napatili siya.
“You look so happy huh” she chuckled while supporting my weight.
Napalingon naman sa akin ang magkapatid. Alrisa is no longer here. Maybe she already goes to hospital for a night shift.
“I just wanna share my happiness to you! Finally we have niece and nephew!”
Well, I already told Cynthia about it earlier so hindi na siya nagtaka ngayon. Hinila niya nalang si Miyu sa living room where the shopping bags are located.
“Oh no, babygirl. Sylvia will never be my sister!” mataray nyang sabi.
“Kahit na! You are my sister so Rylie and Zio will be your niece and nephew too” I countered.
“Oh yeah, whatever!” she said in defeat.
I went down from being a tarsier on Sapphire’s body and stood properly.
Sapphire signaled me to follow her.
We went inside my room and she opened my walk in closet where the shortcut to game room is located. She pushed the button that was behind my clothes. The single elevator opened then she got in. It looks like a capsule type of elevator na isang tao lang ang capacity. Seconds later, the elevator came back and ako naman ang sumakay.
Paglabas ko sa maliit na elevator na iyon ay natagpuan ko si Sapphire na nakaupo sa may billiards.
“What’s up? It seems private huh” pacool kong tanong but deep inside I feel anxious already.
“You know, I told you I have to find auntie Amanda right?” she started.
I just nodded as response and motioned her to continue.
“Before I went here, I came out to dad and mom as gay. Of course they didn’t take it easily. Mom was confused and speechless while dad, as expected he got furiously mad” she continued.
Napasinghap ako sa narinig.
“R-really?” I said in disbelief. I’ve known Sapphire for being brave but I didn’t know that she can do it. I’m proud of her.
She nodded. “then, days had passed dad was still furious and said he’ll make me marry a guy right away. But of course I declined and protested. I threatened him that if he do it, he will never see me again. I’ll runaway from home too just like what you did. Mom, heard it and she cried. She said she can’t lose another child again”
“I was touched. Your mom was too good to be true. She knows that I’m not her biological daughter but she still treats me as her own. So there, dad came up with the new idea…” Sapphire paused and looked at me straight in the eyes.
“I have to find auntie Amanda because she stole our sister”
My mouth went agape as she revealed the last sentence.
“W-what??? W-we have another s-sister?! Nangaliwa ba si dad?!” I said in confused and shocked voice.
“No, Silver. That child is your twin sister!”
