Chapter 25 Akie

Silver Nahla's POV

"Madam Rayana, ang tagal ko po kayong di nakita na dumalaw dito ah!"

I heard a familiar voice said. I'm sure it was one of the maids.

I'm already awake but I'm too lazy to get up. Besides, my body is still aching from all the physical activities that I did last night.

"I just got back from Sicily, Mel. Here's your pasalubong. Nandyan na din po yung para sa iba mong kasamahan" I heard the unfamiliar voice said.

"Naku nag abala pa po kayo! Pero salamat po at hindi niyo kami nakalimutan" masayang sabi neto.

"You are always welcome, Mel"

After that I felt a presence near me. "I know you're awake" Her soft and gentle voice welcomed me.

Just like that, I opened my eyes to realized that I am still wearing the same clothes that I had last night.

When I saw her face, I was stunned when I looked at her eyes. It was blue, just like my eyes but the difference was hers was a shot of a cold winter in Russia. Her eyes holds sorrow and rage. Her beautiful eyes hid this kind of emotions. Such a shame. What a waste of beauty. Some people says 'what's your beauty if your brain is empty' but for me, what is beauty if you are in cage of your own darkness?

I looked around to see that, dito na pala ako sa living room nakatulog.

"Get up, sleepyhead. You'll be late" she said then went ahead to the dining area.

I got up from the couch but I felt my throbbing head, so I fell on the couch again and massage my temple.

"Get your ass up here, mate! Breakfast is ready" I heard her yell from the dining area.

I immediately stood holding my throbbing head and walked to the bathroom to have mouthwash before I followed that beautiful stranger in the dining area.

"Oh good morning, mija! I bet you are having a hangover. Come and sit here. I prepared a tea for your headache" tita Amanda said with a smile. Devaughn's mom.

It's been 3 days since I stayed here in their mansion because Cynthia's mom assigned her men to guard Cynthia and she won't allow me to stay in the same building where Cynthia's living. Sapphire wanted to appeal but I stopped her. The situation might get worse if she appealed. It's been 3 days too since I last saw Cynthia. She's not picking up my calls and won't reply to my messages. I guess her mom is really giving her a hard time. Even Miyu got bodyguards that's why I couldn't reach her to have news about her sister. 2 days na din ako walang maayos na tulog kakainom. I begun drinking because of my non-stop nightmares. I was afraid of falling asleep kasi everytime na makakatulog ako paulit ulit lang yung panaginip ko about don sa sunog and to knock out myself and forget thinking about the nightmare, umiinom ako para di ko mamalayan na tulog na ako. Kasi pag nasa tamang wisyo ako, nag iisip lang ako at di makatulog dahil sa takot na managinip nanaman.

Akala ko nawala na but since ilang araw na akong stressed out sa nangyari sa amin ni Cynthia, bumalik nanaman.

Lagi nalang ako pumapasok ng late at sabog. I feel like I'm back to my old self. Back when I was in Australia.

So, yeah Suji Devaughn made me stay here. At first, I was hesitant and didn't want to take her offer but Sapphire made me do it. I told them I can afford a small apartment or unit near my school but they were so against my idea. I don't know but Sapphire is becoming skeptical and suspiscious since the day she made me stay here. It is so unlike her to entrust me to someone she barely know. Remember when I got here? She made friends to Cynthia just to witness how they treat me there. Tsk! Cynthia nanaman. Is there any possibility na hindi ko siya maisip kahit one minute lang? Because I'm already going nuts kakaisip sa kanya.
