Chapter 28 Shattered

“Oh there you are runaway little marquise!” Devaughn welcomed me with her sarcastic remarks when I arrived In the kitchen.

“where have you been, mija? We were all worried about you!” tita Amanda hugged me.

“ugh forgive me mija but you smell like shit!” she added and groaned as she parted the hug.

Oh yeah of course! I haven’t had a bath since last night and I drank half of the liquors in the club.

Nagclub kasi kami kagabi nila Harriet and Orion kasi Friday naman and we were all exhausted from the week’s school activities so we decided na magrelease ng stress and pumarty last night.

“Atleast I had fun right? You said before that the most important thing in this world is having fun” I said emphasizing the word ‘fun’.

“Very well, my dear. Just don’t make us worry again like that. A single text or call won’t hurt” she softly said and caressed my cheek.

I just nodded at her.

“You smell like sex, babygirl. I can smell you here” Sapphire commented with a smirk on her face while leaning on her chair in the dining then looked at my back where Akiko was following me and gave her an acknowledging smile as if she wasn’t worried about me anymore because my bestfriend brought me home.

Well, she trusts Akiko more than anyone.

“Tss! Just give me a break, people. I’m tired” balewala kong sagot sa kanila.

“Tell me you are safe, mija? Ayoko pa maging lola” tanong ni tita na may halong biro.

Nasanay na kasi sila sa akin na may makita na kamakeout ko kung saan saan. Di ko din pinapatawad ang  mga sulok ng campus na lagi ako naaabutan ni Devaughn na may kasamang lalaki at tamang make out lang sa gedli. Kaya mainit talaga dugo sa akin ni Devaughn kasi ayun lagi ang eksena na naaabutan niya kapag naglilibot at nagchecheck siya ng rooms sa campus.

“No worries, tita. This time it’s a girl” I smirked then grabbed a glass of water and drank it kahit hindi ko alam kung kaninong baso iyon. Uhaw na uhaw eh aarte pa ba?

Alam naman ni tita na I had a girlfriend and tanggap niya naman kami ni Devaughn sa sexual preference namin. Remember? Orion is Devaughn’s ex girlfriend.

“Ganun lang? Pagkatapos mo di umuwi at di sagutin mga texts at tawag sayo?! We were all worried sick!” galit na singhal ni Cynthia na kanina ko pa di pinapansin ang presensya.

“Oh you’re here?” I asked in a most sarcastic tone that I could give, acting surprised? when the truth was from the moment I stepped here, she was the first person that I ever noticed. Oh well, can’t deny the fact that she’s still my apple of the eye. She will always be. Despite of the pains she have caused me. “Don’t act like you care. If I know napadaan ka lang dahil kapitbahay naman talaga ang ipinunta mo dito, So don’t be ridiculous” I mocked her.

“Oh shut up! I’m here because I’m worried. Wag mong idamay ang wala rito! And for your information, tubig ko yang inubos mo” she retorted back and glanced at the empty glass on my side.

I was shocked but I still managed to compose myself and hid my embarrassment by mocking her again “Oh well, kaya pala hindi masarap ang tubig na nainom ko”

“Cut the crap, jackass! Just tell us where the hell did you go last night! Nawala ka nalang daw bigla sabi nila Orion.  And why are you with a super model?! Te miro (look at you)! You look like… ugh mierda (shit)” Suji Devaughn angrily asked as she violently slapped the dining table and gazed at my bestfriend.
