Chapter 51 Back off

CYNTHIA'S POV

“Tita when will you get married po? Tita Miyu said you are old na daw” Kiraz suddenly asked while sitting on my sofa here in my office.

Mula sa pagkakatutok sa monitor ay napalingon ako dito ng nakakunot ang noo. She’s here with me because I took her with me after I enrolled her at school because she didn’t want to be alone with her butler or yaya at home. Sa akin na muna kasi ito nakatira since Silver flew to Chile for a medical mission. She’s spending her time there for a month and I miss her so much. Naguusap naman kami through video calls and chats but very quick lang talaga and minsanan lang since we were both busy lalo na siya na hectic talaga ang schedule.

“Baby, I’m not that old. Don’t listen to your tita Miyu. She’s just messing with you” I answered in defense.

Lagot talaga sa akin si Miyu mamaya.

“Okay, if you say so. But, when are you getting married then?” she asked again while munching the fries she ate. I ordered food kase for her kanina para hindi siya magutom and mabored. Kapag kaya may nangunguya tayo hindi tayo nabobored diba? Ganun kasi ako.

But, it looks like she got bored already dahil nakababa na sa lap niya ang ipad niya na kanina lang ginagamit niya para manood sa YouTube channel ng paborito niyang sina Diana and Roma habang kumakain.

I sighed and answered. “Soon. Soon, honey”

How will I get married when my betrothed is in the other side of the world. Gosh! I miss my baby. I haven’t proposed yet but you know naman na advance ako magisip kaya betrothed na agad. Buti nga hindi wife ulit sinabi ko eh. Chill, papunta palang tayo sa exciting part.

“I want you to be my mom too, tita! Can you marry my mommy? Please, wife her up already” she innocently spoke again which made me dropped the pen I was holding because aside from checking emails on my monitor, I am also signing some papers.

I sat properly in her questions as I leaned my back on my swivel chair and crossed my arms to face her properly. She really looks like her mom Silver, she’s like her little duplicate. Just minus the eye color because Kiraz’ eye color is brown which she inherited from me. She got everything from her mom except her blue eyes but nonetheless she still look so beautiful at her young age.
“Yes, I can. But, do you know what you are talking about, little munchkin? Where have you learned those things? Marriage is sacred it’s not something you can decide overnight” I asked calmly while explaining and amusement can be evident on my voice.

“Yes, I know that and I’m pretty confident that two women can be married if they wish to. Tita Suji and Tita Orion are both engaged to each other so I assumed you can do that also with mommy” she innocently explained.

“I can sense that you like my mom too so yeah, I like you for her. I am assured that you will take care of her even though she can be very busy and grumpy at times. Oh don’t tell her that I told you she’s grumpy huh” she added and giggled.

Damn! My daughter is so talkative. What she said made me blush so bad. Masyado ng maraming alam ang batang ito, pwede na ipatumba. Just kidding.

“See? You are blushing, tita. I’ll take that as a confirmation that you indeed like my mom. Don’t worry, I think she likes you back. The way she looks at you is very familiar. I know that because that’s how daddy looks at her, full of admiration yet mommy never looked at him that way and that’s sad” turo pa neto sa akin nang hindi ako makasagot agad at mukhang bahagya nga itong nalungkot sa huling sinabi pero agad ding nakabawi saka ako kinindatan.
May pagkapaasa din pala ang batang ito. Manang mana sa mommy.

“Gosh! Kiraz are you really just three? And how come you still remember Paco? We thought you forgot about him” I asked in embarrassment with a mix of curiosity. We all thought that she already forget Paco because she never mentioned him. Ngayon lang.
She speaks like a grown up girl. Mukhang maagang mamumuti ang buhok ko sa batang ito. Masyadong matalino.
