*Usual disclaimer: I don't own these characters, totally cool with the Pokemon company shutting me down if they feel like it*
In a hotel on the island of Pasio
Elio POV
"Man, that was a long trip. I'm glad to be back on dry land." I looked over to Selene who was walking next to me, rolling her suitcase behind her. She nodded, "Yeah same here. For living in Alola I sure am not a big fan of travelling by water." I went to the check in desk and asked the clerk where our rooms were. He informed me that we were in room 301 and Selene and I headed up to our room. Selene was a long time friend of mine, after Lillie left Alola she was taking her island challenge and we ended up meeting in Iki Town. Since then we've been good friends. We actually have ended up going to the same college too, Pasio University, I'm hoping to be a gym leader or something similar and Selene is...Selene is uh..."Selene?" "hm?" "What are you studying to do?" Selene rolled her eyes, "Elio, I told you like 10 times already, I want to study other regional variants of pokemon." I shrugged, "Eheh, yeah that's right... Sorry." Selene shrugged and chuckled, she can be kind of sarcastic, but she's a good friend through and through. I opened the door to our room. It looked like a rather basic hotel room. Two beds, a nightstand in-between them, a tv, you know the drill. I threw my suitcase in the corner and plopped on to my bed. Selene looked over, "Not gonna do anything? just straight to sleep?" I nodded in my pillow and replied in a muffled voice, "Yes." I heard Selene sigh, "I suppose tomorrow is a big day, first day of university and what not." I sort of tuned out, I wasn't focused, I was just really tired. Also quite stressed. There were tryouts for scholarships on the Pokemon Battling team, and Pasio University is well known for having... Well I wouldn't say the best battling team, but it's division 1! Which means it will be hard to make- I heard Selene huff, "You're not even listening, whatever. See ya tomorrow Elio." I exhaled, "See ya tomorrow."
Calem POV
I dusted myself off as I exited the plane that carried me to the island. So this is Pasio, nice looking place. I heard there are a few other people from Kalos coming here too. I'll have to meet up with them since we have the most in common. If you haven't figured it out already, I'm kind of a loner...or rather antisocial, either way I uh, need to make some friends. Mom sent me here, I'm undeclared as far as a major goes, but hey, I don't really care, Mom just figured I should go make something of myself. There's a stipulation about people from Kalos, we're all successful and stuck up or whatever. I don't think it's completely true... I mean obviously I'm expected to be something, that's why I'm here. I checked in to my hotel room, room 302 they told me. Gonna be a long semester, we get to move in to our dorms tomorrow so that's cool. I laid down on the bed and listened to music as I fell asleep. This is either going to be horrible or a nice experience, hopefully the latter.
May POV
I stretched my arms wide above my head as Brendan and I exited the plane. Brendan and I both come from Littleroot Town. We've been through a lot, what with Team Aqua and Magma, And then there was this whole deal with Rayquaza.
Anyway what I'm trying to say is we're pretty good friends. I exhaled as I finished stretching and rolled my suitcase next to Brendan. "You excited for the start of classes tomorrow Brendan?" He looked over and smiled, "For sure! Well... Not really classes, I can't wait to try out for the Pokemon Battling team!" I laughed, "Of course. You're really a one track mind you know that right?" He put his free hand that wasn't rolling his luggage on his hip. "Pft. Sorry I have a hobby." I laughed, "Whatever. You know what room we're in?" Brendan looked down at his phone, "Ah.... 303 it says." I smiled, "Well that's a nice number I suppose! I think we'll have a lot of fun here!"Hilbert POV
"The ship is docking on Pasio in 10 minutes, all passengers make sure you have all your personal belongings as you depart from the ferry." I picked up my suitcase and put it on my lap as I continued to mindlessly browse my phone. Supposedly there was a girl I knew who was from the same region as me who I think I knew of at some point. Her name was Hilb- wait no that's me, her name was uh... Ah... Well I... Ok I swear I didn't forget because I'm arrogant or think I'm above her or whatever, we met once when we were like 9, our parents knew each other but lived on opposite sides of the region. I stood up and walked off the boat as we docked. Why am I going to this college, you might ask? That's a great question. The answer is that I'd love to study water type pokemon. I need to get some kind of degree from this place to get a job doing that. Uh, and I figured that a college stranded on an island would know a thing or two about that. Mom said I probably should've researched a bit more, but eh, I prefer to follow my gut. Alright... Looks as though I have the rest of my day set out, get to the hotel... Check in... Go to Room 304 for the night, then... Sleep I guess, I suppose I don't know how classes work here yet, I'm sure I'll figure it out though.
