Chapter 26- Spring Break

Selene POV

It's time to go back to Pasio! I'd call this trip a success in every sense of the word for me. Both on the field and... Well you get the point. We walked through the docks and arrived at our boat. I sat down, I'm the first one here. Eventually Elio and Lillie arrived, along with Mom. I walked up and hugged Mom, she laughed, "Can I expect to see the three of you back here in a week for spring break?" Lillie nodded, "If- if you have some extra room I'd love that!" Elio smiled as well, "Sure! As long as the people here won't make your life miserable cus of me." She shook her head, "Pfft, they couldn't, I like you better than all them combined. And you Selene? I'd love to spend some time with my daughter." I nodded fervently, "That sounds amazing Mom, thanks!" She giggled, "Ok, you guys have a safe trip now." We all nodded and thanked her.

Shortly after, Serena arrived, practically dragging Calem by the arm, she laughed, "I told him to get some sleep, but nooooo, I'm not his mom he says." Calem protested tiredly, "I didn't say that..." Serena laughed, "Whatever, that's what you were thinking though." Moments later Hilbert and Hilda arrived, they were laughing and sharing some malasadas, I looked up there, "Hey, glad to see you guys discovered malasadas." Hilda giggled, "You're not the only one." I smiled, I'm glad to have so many friends on this team. Just moments later I saw Dawn walking slowly next to her torterra, immediately passed up by Gloria who was running at mach 1 with Cinderace on to the boat. This team has so many distinct personalities and I love it.

1 Week later

Brendan POV

"May...May....we made it." I said while rubbing the shoulder of the caramel-haired girl who was asleep on my own shoulder. We had taken the long flight and have made it back to Hoenn International Airport. Not a terribly long walk to Littleroot from there, but it isn't short either. It's already dark out too. May woke up and blinked a few times, "Oh... So we have..." We both got up and disembarked, walking through the Hoenn region we know so well to get back home. May looked over to me, "I remember walking these routes with you for the first time years ago, I seemed like an expert but that's only because you just moved here." I chuckled, "Well yeah, but it's not like my sense of direction got any better." May giggled, "I thought it got better, you helped me find Mossdeep for the meteor shower after all that business we went through with Rayquaza." I laughed, "I was so worried about that one. I wanted to ask you out so bad... I thought after that...that maybe you didn't feel the same." May shrugged, "Trust me I did. But I was soooo nervous too." I smiled then gave her a peck on the cheek. I immediately heard an 'uhhh' from in front of us. There stood Norman, my Dad. He looked confusedly, "Welcome- welcome home...did I miss something?" May made an 'eek' sound while I laughed, "Ah... Well I don't think you missed anything that would be a shock to you." My dad laughed, "That is very true. Congrats you two!" May flushed and giggled and I said, "Yeah. Thanks Dad."

We crashed in my parents upstairs room. I slept in the sleeping bag usually reserved for friends who were visiting my house while May fell asleep easily in my bed. This is going to be a much needed time for relaxation.

Victor POV

I opened the door, "Mum! Kira! I'm home!" I immediately felt Kira attach to my leg, "Victor!!" I laughed and ruffled her hair, Mum came down and hugged both of us. I smiled, "How are the Wooloo?"Mum smiled, "Oh they're fine... But they're much happier when you're home. Heh. I am too." We broke and I smiled tiredly, "I'd go see them but... I'm about to pass out." Mum laughed, "Understandable, take a good rest hun." I floated up to bed, Kira followed and slept on the floor by me. It's good to be back.

Calem POV.

Anistar City. Can't say I'm overly thrilled to be back here. Look, I don't hate my parents, they just give me more flack than I like to take. I looked next to Serena, "Well. We made it. You want to see the sundial up close?" She smiled, "I'd love too! It's so beautiful." I nodded, "Sure is." We sat by the water and looked at the sundial for a few hours. I took in a deep breath, "You... You want to go to my parents place?" Serena smiled, "Sure." We held hands as we walked together past many houses, each one Serena asked if it was similar to mine. I shook my head and she got increasingly confused each time. Eventually we got there and I pointed to it, "That's the house." Behind the gates was the mansion my parents lived in. Serena laughed, "Right, ok." I looked at her and she sobered up, "Wait. You're serious?" I nodded, "Yeah. Pretentious as all...anyway..." I hit the button to get buzzed in, the person answered, "Who's there." I replied, "It's Calem." I heard the doors unlock and I looked back at Serena who was still in shock, I looked at her, "Sorry..." She shook her head, "No need, I- how are-" I knew what she was asking, "They founded pokevision." Serena's eyes almost popped, "What!? I had no id-!" Immediately my Dad came to the door. He looked at me, "Calem. Welcome home." I nodded, "Thanks Dad." He looked behind and saw Serena, he looked at me, "And who is this?" I pointed back, "That's my girlfriend Serena." He raised an eyebrow, "Is it really?" Serena smiled, "Yep! Nice to meet you." He looked at me, "You're not... This isn't a joke?" I sighed, "No it isn't." He shrugged, "Alright. Come on in you two. Good thing you have that extra bed in your room Calem." I shrugged, "Yeah. I had hoped it'd come in handy." I said as I motioned Serena to follow me upstairs. I got upstairs and then shut the door behind. I sighed, "Sorry... I feel obligated to come back since they do pay for me to go to college." Serena tilted her head, "They seem rather doubtful of you, why would- why would they..." I shrugged, "They want me to take over pokevision but I just don't have a passion for that. I don't care if I have all the money in the world if I hate what I do day in and day out." Serena looked deeply in to my eyes, "I... Admire that Calem... Wh-...what do you want to do then?" I smiled and looked up, "I didn't know. Until yesterday. The thrill on that battlefield is unmatched... I- I want to battle professionally." Serena closed her eyes and smiled sweetly, "Heh. I knew it." I reacted in shock, "You're joking?" She shook her head, "No. You're a passionate guy, you only give your all to things you truly love. And you do that for battling...and not schoolwork heheh." I pointed, "Correct. I do that for you too though y'know." Serena scratched the back of her head, "I appreciate it Calem..." Mom came in the room at that moment, "Calem! Welcome home!" She hugged me and I looked very confused, "Uh...thanks mom." She broke from me, "I'm- I'm so proud of you, you've got this wonderful girl, and you seem so happy!" I tilted my head, "Y-yeah I am, but uh... Aren't you still mad about th-" she laughed, "The pokevision thing? Of course not." I tilted my head, "Oh, you seemed like you were." She looked at me, "Sweetie... I know your father is hard on you... But after watching how much you love what you do there I support you fully. I thought you were just going there to... Well not do anything productive. And yet here you are, a conference champion, and with such a sweet girl as this." Serena smiled, "Ah...thanks.... Name's Serena by the way." My mom laughed awkwardly, "Oh... Yeah... Sorry dear, it's nice to meet you." Serena smiled, "Nice to meet you too!" Moments later mom said goodnight and left us alone in the room. I looked over to Serena, "Didn't expect that. Definitely not complaining though." Serena sighed, "Yeah. I still can't believe your family founded pokevision..." I sighed, "I didn't tell you because... Well a lot of people were only friends with me because of that." Serena shook her head, "No worries here, I'm with you for you." I smiled, "I know. That's why I'm so grateful." I turned the lights off and we both fell asleep promptly after.

Selene POV
"Mom!" I yelled as I ran off the boat and on to the Hau'Oli City dock. I ran over to my new Mom and embraced her. She returned the hug and laughed, "I'm so happy to see you! Welcome home Selene!" I saw Elio and Lillie stand next to us, Elio laughed, "Well, can't say I ever thought I'd have a really happy moment involving this dock, but here we are." Lillie smiled, "True. I'm so glad we're here now though." I separated from Mom, "So... What now?" Mom shrugged, "Whatever you want, I'm sure you're tired from all the schoolwork." I nodded, "Yeah... That's for sure..." Elio smiled, "Well, I was going to take Lillie to Ten Carat Hill, you want to come?" I shook my head, "Sounds fun, but I'm...really..." A yawn broke my sentence and Elio laughed, "You don't have to finish that sentence. We'll catch ya later Selene, Mama." Mom and I nodded as they headed off. I looked over to Mom, "I'll never understand where he gets all that excess energy from." Mom laughed, "Never could quite figure that out myself either." I smirked, "Must've been a tough job to parent him." Mom sighed, "Well... It's less hard because I love him. But that doesn't...er... Decrease the difficulty."
