Elio POV
We landed safely at Ecruteak Airport and immediately went to our hotel. Selene and I were sharing a room tonight, then we'll get up bright and early to square off with Lumiose University later in the afternoon. Oh! I promised I'd check in with Lillie when we landed didn't I? I have her a call, no video this time, I don't want to keep her up too long. She answered, "You guys made it?" I replied happily, "Yep! We're all safe and sound here, I just got in my hotel room." She responded, "That's good. Sleep well alright? I know you guys can do it!" I chuckled, "I will. Don't worry." She giggled, "Ok! I love you Elio, good night!" I replied with the same, "Love you too Lil, good night!" Then I hung up. Selene came in to the room moments later, "Heh. This brings back memories." I tilted my head, "Yeah?" She nodded, "First day in Pasio we stayed in a hotel just like this one." She sat down on her bed, "To think, how different things are for us now than they were at the start of this year!" I smiled, "Yeah. All good things for me! Same for you too, right?" She nodded, "Yep. Everything is perfect right now. Though I am getting a little tired of travelling... I kinda want to go back home with Mom." I nodded, "Can't say I disagree. I want to win the whole thing still but... Yeah it is pretty exhausting... Gives me hope to think that if we're tired, the other teams have to be equally." She nodded, "Yeah. I guess you're right." I scratched my head, "You know Selene. This has been a ton of fun though anyway. Getting to spend all day with you and Lillie has been the highlight of my life! Really." Selene chuckled, "I know I give you a lot... And I mean a LOT of flack, but Elio... You're such a great friend. I'll stick by you till the end." I snickered, "I appreciate it! But you're gonna have to considering who you're currently seeing...." She stammered, "Wh-! Why do you keep bringing it up!" I chuckled, "I'm dating his sister! I just think it's funny that two siblings are dating two other siblings." Selene scratched her chin, "That is interesting now that you mention it..." I shrugged, "Yeah I think so. Anyway, I'm gonna catch some shut eye, got a big job to do tomorrow, I think you might too." She nodded, "Alright, see you tomorrow Elio." I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep, where I was met with a dream that I'll probably forget about by the time I wake up.
Calem POV
I shook myself awake this morning, I don't have time to be tired! Y'know, I've got a shot to best Lumiose University today, and show them that they should regret rejecting.... Actually, the more I think about it, I really should thank them. I don't know if I'd be the leader and person I am today without the people I met in Pasio. In fact... I know I wouldn't be the same. So in a way I guess I have to thank them... And also y'know, obliterate them on the battlefield. Either way it's almost go time, and I think I'm gonna draw a couple things up with Dawn for them. I met up with her in the hotel lobby as we both ate some breakfast (Serena would kill me if she heard I wasn't eating good). I brought down a sheet of paper and began to scribble a few things down, I asked Dawn, "So... Did you find anything from watching film?" She put her finger on her chin, "Hmmm... Well I found out they're really good, but we already knew that. I watched over the last time they beat us, and I noticed that they got us out of there any time we tried to take 1 on 1s, I think the main important thing to do will be to have tight team play, and to attack together." I thought out loud, "Did we not do that last time... Hm. I really botched things as a captain there... Dawn, who you want in with you for this one?" Dawn looked at a note she had, "Give me Selene and Victor." I raised an eyebrow, "Selene and Victor? Alright. Do you care to explain why?" She nodded, "Yes. If you, Elio, and Brendan are going to be taking the fight to them in an aggressive and coordinated manner, then I want to make sure I pick the most aggressive teammates that will help keep the pressure up." I nodded, "Hey Dawn, you keep this kind of thinking up and you might be the captain nex-" I stopped. Whoops. Dawn looked at me suspiciously, "I highly doubt it. I mean you'll still be... Wait? What are you trying to say? Are you... Leaving us?" I looked down and sighed at my own stupidity. "I... Got an offer.... From the Mistralton Aviators to be a professional trainer." Dawn slammed her hands on the table, drawing some attention from people at the other tables, before they turned away, "WHAT!?" I nodded, "Yeah. And I was just thinking how that's all I want to do... No degree I can get would get me that far." Dawn hung her head, "So that's it? You're done after this tournament?" I paused then nodded slowly. Dawn placed her hand across her forehead and looked down, "W... When were you going to tell us?" I shook my head, "I don't know. I really only just decided." Dawn shook her head, "Might want to wait until after the tournament. It's gonna wreck some of the guys." I nodded, "I know. Thanks for understanding Dawn." She nodded, "I won't tell anyone until then, but let's make sure we go out and give it our all today." I gave her a thumbs up, "I can give you that."
