Chapter 43- One Last Time

Elio POV

I walked out of the tunnel at practice. That really was the last one. I scouted around and looked to find Lillie so we could get to our portion of today. It's about 6 PM Lumiose time, so it's getting dark, but we have a lot of things we can still do in that time! I spotted my girlfriend on my right and ran over to her, trapping her in a tight hug. She laughed and said, "Hey Elio! Practice go well?" I broke from the hug and smiled, "I think so! It's such a cool stadium... do you have tickets for tomorrow?" Lillie nodded, "Yes! Kukui said that the team has about 15 tickets to give out to friends and family..." She trailed off thoughtfully, "...I do wonder though where those other tickets went too, besides Serena of course." I heard some purposeful footsteps behind me and turned to see Calem and Serena walking hand in hand towards us. I waved to them as they approached, "Hey guys, where you headed to?" Calem pointed his thumb at Serena, "Serena figured since you guys are new here that we could help guide you around... and she was also thinking it would be fun to go on a double date with you guys." Lillie put her hands together and smiled happily, "That sounds like fun! Thanks for the invitation." Serena smiled, "Sure! Now let's head north, there's this place called The Juice Shoppe, and it's just the best!" We all followed Serena's lead towards the promised juice.

Brendan POV

I Exited the stadium and sighed. Dang. It's kinda lonely. Usually I'd spend the day with May, Calem, or Elio, but they all have plans. I didn't want to burden them, but now I don't know what to do. I suppose I could just head to the hotel and call it a day, get some extra shut-eye for the big day tomorrow. I felt a buzz in my pocket, probably an ad or something, I pulled it out of my pocket and smiled as it was a call from May. I picked it up, "Hey May, what's up?" May responded questioningly, "Hey- where are you?" I looked at the stadium and replied, "Just got done with practice at Lumiose Stadium, why?" May responded happily, "Stay there. Just trust me." I replied confused, "Oh- ok?" May hung up the phone and I stood there by myself with my hands at my side. Why did she put me up to this? I shrugged then continued to browse my phone, about 10 minutes later I heard a yell, "Brendan!" Who in Lumiose City knows my name and how? I turned to where the voice came from and my jaw dropped in amazement, "M-MAY!?" She nodded happily then we exchanged a hug. I rested my head on her shoulder, her warmth was something I've missed dearly. I then asked, "How? How did you..." May smiled, "There was some tickets the university gave out to close friends and family of the players. So... The cost of the flight really wasn't bad." I tilted my head, "You come all this way by yourself?" She shook her head, "Nope." I looked ahead of me and saw my mom and dad, as well as Professor Birch and Mays Mom. I smiled, "Hello!" They all waved back. I broke the hug and trotted over, "So what's up? You guys want to go somewhere?" Dad shook his head, "Nah we were going to just let you two enjoy your day." I raised an eyebrow and looked at Professor Birch who usually didn't support me being alone with May. No idea why he doesn't trust me, I saved him from like, 5 zigzagoons, and not like 5 at 1 time, like 1, 5 separate times. Yeah. Mays mom smiled, and agreed. I looked to May and smiled, "Well then, let's be off!" She smiled, "Ok!"

Calem POV

At the Juice shoppe, Serena taught me how to make a juice from berries, and we each got one and sat down. Lillie did too, and then we all watched Elio have a silent mental breakdown trying to get the juicer to work. Lillie giggled as he struggled with it before finally getting it to work. She said under her breath, "He's so cute." Serena looked at her questioningly and I chuckled. Elio got back and scratched his head, "Hopefully that's the toughest battle I have here..." We all sat down and sipped on our juices while talking about some other things we could do while we are out and about. Serena suggested the Sushi High Roller, but i don't think any of us have quite enough money on us for that. I was going to suggest the museum, but I thought better of it because Elio would probably implode after 30 minutes of just looking at things. I placed my hand on my chin, "Hey, you guys want to go to the top of Lumiose tower?" Serena shook her head, "Er... Sorry I'm terrified of heights." I once again thought, I mean I could take them on a tour of pokevision, but I don't really want to. Serena snapped her fingers, "Oh! I know! I'm friends with Professor Sycamore, would you guys like to see the lab and the Pokemon habitat they have there?" We all nodded, finished our juices and left for the new destination.
