"And that is it! The match is over after Calem falls! 6-5 and the Kalos Regional High School Championship is decided!" I dropped to my knees in shock.

I failed.

They all counted on me to step up and lead them, like Matisse did last year.

I failed.

I continued to kneel in the trainers box. Tears rolled down my face. It's embarrassing, but I don't really care. I embarrassed myself enough already that this won't add to it. My parents came out to watch too. And I lost a one on one. To the guy that Matisse made look stupid last year. The other team was celebrating, my team had already left, but I haven't moved yet. Matisse was right. About everything. As usual I'm left wanting. I just want to go home. I doubt any college will accept me now.

Calem POV

I woke up from the dream replaying my most.... Painful... Memory I suppose. I just.... Gah. No use dwelling on it. It's past. Today is all about the future. Specifically Goldenrod. We have to play them today. By far our biggest challenge of the season. Lyra and I have been tirelessly working on some plays to run for the team. I think we have a chance. All we have to do is win today, and if Oak isn't lying to us, our program is saved. We'll have a next year. If we don't... Well I could maybe transfer somewhere, but Serena wants to stay here and I'm not leaving her alone.

Elio POV

"Rise and shine my.... Uh... I don't know what to call you today. I love you though!" I said as my girlfriend who made a bad decision for who she wanted to potentially spend the rest of her life with answered the video call. She giggled sweetly, "Good morning Elio! I'll have to tell Selene about this, she'll be shocked." I was confused, "Huh?, She laughed as she said, "You actually managed to be at a loss for words." I sighed and broke down laughing, ever since she and Selene became good friends, Selene has taught her how to harass me. It's pretty funny. She continued, "Anyway, you're about to board your flight? I smiled and nodded, "Yep! All ready to go! Your roommate May is coming with us actually." Lillie nodded, "I know. She's heading home for the Summer... Guess it'll be pretty lonely for me here..." She said frowning. My heart sank. "Ahhh...I'm really sorry Lillie..." She shook her head, "It'll be fine, just call me every once in a while ok?" I nodded, "I will!" She smiled happily, "Good! Good luck today love!" I smiled back, "Thank you! See you later." I hung up and smiled to myself as I boarded the plane, she's the best. I sat down by Calem as usual and saw Brendan not sitting with us today, probably because he's with May. I looked to Calem, "You sleep alright?" He shook his head, "Been better. I'll be fine though, I'm excited to get to it." I nodded, "Yeah... Have anything you want to talk about? I doubt you want to spend another plane ride next to me gushing about Lillie." He chuckled, "If you don't mind, I'd like to go over our opening play with you for a bit to make sure we'll be on the same page." "Sure."

Brendan POV

May and I exited the plane together hand in hand. At the bottom of the staircase I asked her, "You just gonna go home?" She shrugged, "I'll probably tune in to the match on the TV outside the stadium." I nodded, "Ok." I saw Dawn and Lyra walking ahead with the rest of the group discussing the strategies we were going to use today and I tried to pay attention so I can be perfect come game time. We're at the stadium now. Lest hope for the best!
