Chapter 43 - Glimpse

"What do you mean I can't attend today's taping?" I ask Del Fierro, filled with Anger. My hopes are fulfilled. I am more than ready. I was hoping to wear the Amihan Costume again. I was ready. I am wearing my taping clothes.

"Encantadia Management asks to rebut, you can attend 2 days from now." He says. Napahawak ako sa ulo ko. I am more than frustrated. I was really hopeful. Akala ko talaga makakapunta na ako. Akala ko talaga makikita ko na ulit sila.

"Akala ko, maayos yung nakita mong loophole sa kontrata?" Roan asks. Dun ko lang na realize na dahil hindi inaasahan na hindi ako pwedeng sumama. Gusto ko na syang umalis dahil baka mamaya ay malate naman sya ng dahil sakin.

"Hon, mauna ka na. I'll stay here nalang until you get back. Mahirap makipagbuno sa traffic." I say, pushing him away and kissing him goodbye.

"No. I wanted to know why our loophole didn't push through." Roan asks, which suddenly makes me all curious too.

"The contract you signed, says Encantadia is ending in 12 weeks after your departure. However, pulling you out of the series caused some repairable damage to them." Del Fierro says, looking at me fiercely.

"Talaga Kylie? Enca is supposed to end 12 weeks after your departure? How come it's ending now?" Roan says, then does mental math with his brain and fingers.

"Kaya nga repairable. Pulling you out of the show has caused them to drop ratings. Pushing you in is the loophole." Del Fierro explains. My head hurts. All this loophole is making me confuse.

"Sa madaling sabi, since ang pinirmahan mo na kontratra ay ang pag tatapos nito 12 weeks, don palang hindi na aangkop ang pangako mo na bawal ka gumanap ulit as Kylie. Since hindi natutupad yung time frame ng show. Pinilit ko yong ilaban sa abogado nila. That could only mean, the show is not doing great since you're gone." Del Fierro says. I look at Ruru. We are now slowly understanding how Del Fierro managed to squeeze me in.

"Will this push through? Sabi mo umaalma ang network?" Roan asks.

"Yes, but then remember. Repairable Damage. You are the solution. They have to agree. It's not like you have a reason to bail on them now." Ruru and I looked at each other. I am not sure if what Del Fierro is trying to trigger, is it my Dead Unborn child? Or my trauma?

"What I am saying is, in case you wanted again to get pregnant. Please tell me first to I could weigh it in your existing contracts and wag nyo ko sabihan pag meron na." Del Fierro says, looking at us with puppy eyes.

Ruru and I just laugh."I don't think I could put through Kylie through that again. So no." He says, then chuckles.

"Roan, I am asking as your lawyer na magigipit na naman. Pilit ko kayong nilalaban na mag tambal ulit. Kaya honest na sagot. Marunong ka naman mag condom diba?" I dropped my mouth open. If that is Del Fierro's way of whispering, the whole court must have heard it.

I was about to react until binatukan ni Roan si Del Fierro. "Ruru, Abogado natin yan, physical assault yan!" Sabi ko habang natawa.

"Kasi naman, ano ba namang klaseng tanong yan!" Roan defends himself while I continue laughing.

"You look younger than Kylie. I just wanna make sure! There's no way I am letting you guys affect my credibility!" Del Fierro says, Rubbing his head with finger.

"You do punch hard. I could count this as assault." Del Fierro continues.

"I am. But I am always responsible. That's how I can return the trust Kylie had given to me." Roan says. I am still bothered how he just punched Del Fierro like that.
