~Kylie
I tried to steal a glance from Ruru almost 8 times and it's only 10am. Yes, I counted it. And I noticed that Gabbi and Ruru switched glances 14 times. I'm usually not the competitive type but somehow I am so eager to surpass that 14. I was sitting while my hairstylist is fixing my hair, i picked up the ends of my dress to avoid it from getting dirty. I took the script book that is lying on the shelf. I am about to shoot the coronation of Amihan. As I saw the one lined encha verse. I felt a lump in my throat.
Sana naman ano, wag ka mabulol today? I heard footsteps behind me, I look behind expecting that person to be Ruru, disappointed, I flashed a smile to Rocco.
"Ready ka na? Ang mabubulol daw, May bayad." Rocco joked. Why would I pay? "Aba, hindi pa naman rule yan so, hindi." I smiled and gestured him to back off. "Try mo nang practicin, baka mabulol ka mamaya sige ikaw din, madadagdagan problema mo." Rocco joked and stood up. As if he knew that I already had something on my mind. Adding another will be a burden.
I narrowed my eyes to see if he actually know something. But since we never did anything publicly to be accused of something, I doubt if there's even something to be accused me of. I glanced at my phone. I expected that Mart will be extra adamant, but since I am not receiving any calls, I guess he had the balls to think this of something I should figure out on my own.
I saw in my peripheral vision as Gabbi and Ruru about to enter the dressing area. I tried to sneak a glance with Ruru, but since Gabbi is blocking the way, I locked eyes with Gabbi. I was wondering if she knew that i was trying to look at Ruru. I turned away because if she knew, I didn't have the strength to know.
I walked out of the dressing area, thought that if I wanted to not stutter while on tape, I should practice. Seeing an empty hall, the one we called "Punong Bulwagan", I practiced my lines.
As if tagalog, is not hard enough.
I stood there, in an empty hall and I shouted with my might.
"MASTE, LESTU HASNA."
I saw a shadow behind one of the pillars. I saw Ruru, still in his mandirigma costume. Stared at me for a while before saying hi.
I walked back, tried to sit at the throne which I had put my script book. It's a good thing all of them is in the other area, I have some time for myself to own the hall for a while.
"Mali pagkakasunod sunod mo." Ruru said as he approached me sitting on the throne. "See?" He said as he took the script book from me. Hasna Lestu Masne. He pointed those words using his right index finger, as he underline those words with his, It slowly touched my hand trying to grasp the whole script book to avoid him from taking full control of it.
"I helped Gabbi with encha words before we even started shooting, kaya i tatry kong tulungan ka din." He pointed the words printed above it. "The point is, since they are congratulating you, Maste Lesnu. They used the word first." He said encircling the word Maste Lesnu.
I stared at him as he carefully sweep his fingers towards the printed words. I stared at his eyes, then downwards. I stopped at his lips. Thought of Martin's kissed last night, it was so fast I couldn't remember if there was actually a person I thought of.
"Kylie?" I heard his voice slowly returned me to reality. "Ky." He repeated. I looked to the printed words again away from his face. He giggled. "Ngayon naman na sa wakas tinitignan mo na ako, kinakahiya mo pa." Again he giggled. But this time, with discomfort.
