CHAPTER TEN - It's not okay

I worked out for full 5 hours. Umalis lang ako nung narealize ko ung pagod from all these tapings tapos nag work out pa ako. Agad akong naligo. Pagkatapos kinuha ko ung phone ko to check if may narecieve na akong tawag from Gabbi. Wala.

I decided to call her since kakaaway lang namin, ayoko naman makasamaan ulit sya ng loob. When she refused to answer. I tried calling again. This time, sumagot na sya.

"Buti naman at na realize mo I needed more than 1 missed call." Bungad ni Gabbi over the other side of the line.

"I'm really sorry. Hindi ko alam na kung kailan sobra nating pinangarap maging magkatrabaho sa isang malaking project, mapupuno naman tayo ng pag aaway." I said as I get my bag to prepare from my departure.

"Hindi ko nga din alam. Kahit napakaliit na bagay, pinag aawayan natin. I just wanted to let you know I supported you, I wanted you to feel that I will always stay by your side. Pero pinaalis mo ko." Gabbi said on the other line. I walked out of the gym and towards the elevator.

"I'm really sorry too. Gusto ko lang naman gawin mo yung gusto mo as you were doing the same with me. Kaya pasensya na." Nang tumigil ako sa harap ng elevator. Nagsalitang muli ako.

"Gab, Baka mawalan ng signal sa elevator, if that happens can I call you again once I get home?" I asked staring at the elevator screen turn to 12. The floor I am currently in.

"Pauwi ka palang? Ruru that's too much, hindi ka pa ba pagod?" I paused. The reason i stopped is because I felt tired.

"Medyo, pero kasi kailangan doblehan ko ung efforts ko." As people go out of the elevator I said, "Ah, gab, anjan na tawagan kita mamaya, wag ka muna matutulog."

I entered the elevator and waited for it to reach the parking lot where I had parked my car. As soon as I saw my car, I hurriedly went home.

Shit.

I fell asleep. I woke up seeing 6 missed calls from Gabbi. Kakaaway lang namin tapos nakatulog ako? Ruru! I immediately stood up and called Gabbi. After 1 ring she answered.

"I was so worried, Ruru, sabi mo tatawag ka. Ni hindi ko nga alam saan ka umuwi, sa condo ba, sa bahay mo ba kasi today sa bataan tayo? Or what?" I could hear frustration on her tone.

"I'm really sorry." I said reaching for my shorts, I even forgot wearing shorts last night due to the exhaustion from last night.

"Super napagod ako kagabi, nakalimutan ko nang tumawag sayo. Anyway, asan ka na? Papunta ka na ba sa set? Or asa bahay ka pa gusto mo sunduin kita?" I asked while checking the fridge. Sobrang gutom ako hindi ko maintindihan. Dun ko lang naalala na hindi pala ako nakapag dinner kagabi.

"It's okay, I'm on my way, please don't forget to have breakfast and call me as soon as malapit ka na sa area. Okay? I love you." Gabbi said. It's been a while since we last exchanged those words.

"I love you too." I said and hang up the phone.

Nang wala akong makita sa fridge, nag decide akong maligo nalang. Magluluto pa kasi ako, eh naisip ko ung traffic. Baka mag drive through nalang ako.

After almost 1 hour na drive, nakakita ako ng KFC, agad akong pumila sa drive through saka bumili. Kaso naisip ko sa set ko pa pala to makakain since saan ko naman ipapark ung sasakyan para kumain?
