The night had started out incredibly.
With cheers and dancing and excitement and drinks.
James stood with Lily, using his beer bottle to sing karaoke to everyone. Neither were good at singing and when James made an unnecessary high note in Bowie's song Heroes I think my eardrums nearly popped.
Sirius cupped his hands over his mouth, cheering on James but I pulled his hands down, "don't encourage him." I scolded,
Sirius only smiled wider, "what'd ya' mean, darlin'? His singin' is incredible!"
He was a bit drunk, I think we all were. He twirled me around, pulling me back into his chest.
I merely rolled my eyes at him, "you really think his singing is amazing?"
"I sure do," he grinned, brushing a stray hair from my face.
Remus and Marlene had pulled both of them off the little stage and slow music started playing. Sirius looked down at me with a smile which I returned, pressing my head against his chest as we moved to the music. Sirius pressed his lips to my head, keeping them there while we swayed to the classical music but he soon got bored.
Sirius took my hand and led me away from the crowd, towards the bottom of the cliff, hidden in the shadows. "Really?" I raised my eyebrows, hooking my arms around his neck to pull him closer, "You really couldn't wait?" He kissed me instead of answering, just smiling against my lips and hoisting my legs around his hips. His warm tongue roamed my mouth while I tugged on his bottom lip. Sirius pressed me against the rocks, keeping me stable as the kiss deepened.
"Time to cut the cake!" James called out, "Where's the husband and wife!?"
"Sirius," I giggled, pulling away and letting Sirius flutter kisses over my face with a smile. I stroked his hair lovingly, letting him kiss down my jaw and neck to leave love bites, "Sirius, we have to go cut the cake,"
Sirius grumbled, "Do we have to? I just want to be with you,"
I cupped his cheeks, still smiling, "You'll be with me for the rest of your life, darling, I think we should go cut our cake."
"Fine," He held my hips as I unlatched my legs from around him. We returned to the party and James had a big frown on his face, "Where did you two go? You have to cut the cake!"
"We're here now, that's all that matters," Sirius spun me around as we approached the cake. Sirius took the knife and handed it to me. I glanced over at Marlene, holding the knife up for her to take a photo before I pressed the knife into the fluffy vanilla cake. "If you touch the bottom you've got to kiss the nearest boy!" Lucinda called out which made everyone laugh. I sliced through the cake until it hit the bottom. Sirius leaned down to kiss me but I swerved him, turning to Remus who was the other closest man and kissing his cheek.
"Not funny," Sirius glared,
"I thought it was rather hilarious," My cheeks stretched wide,
"Nope, not funny one bit."
I rolled my eyes, pecking his lips, "Better?"
He hesitated, keeping his nose screwed at me before giving into my smile.
Dominic and I stood together as Sirius and James danced together. "So, how does being hitched feel?" He asked me,
I shrugged, "how should it feel?"
"Incredible." He told me with a grin,
"I mean, yeah, it feels pretty incredible. A bit terrifying if I'll be honest."
