"Bombarda!" There was a loud explosion. I dug my nails into Sirius, clinging to his body in fear, him doing the same, keeping my head from the debris that formed around us. Sirius was the first to look up. I pulled away as I untangled my arms from him, moving away slightly. I felt arms wrap around me ever so tightly. I was frozen for a few seconds before realizing it was Cass. She buried her head in my shoulder. "Don't scare me like that again, please." She said softly, stifling a sob, "I was so scared."

"I'll try." I smiled weakly, kissing her head, "I love you." Sirius had stood up, standing there rather awkwardly.

She stood up, letting me get to my feet.

Cass stared at Sirius for a few seconds before turning to Harry and Hermione silently. Harry gave Sirius a large hug and I noticed Cass's lips tip slightly as she clung to Hermione's hand like her life depended on it. "Come on, Harry. You can make up and spend all the time in the world with your godfather when you know, we're not running on an extremely tight schedule." She said, grabbing my hand and leading me to the hippogriff. Sirius got on with Harry, Hermione and Cass followed.

"I'm going to go find Remus," I said,

"No, you're not, you're injured." Sirius protested.

"I'm not and it's fine. Besides, I'm not squeezing onto that creature when there are already four people on it." I crossed my hands over my chest.

My hands were stained with my own blood. The coat I wore drenched from the inside out from my arm. The slit down my cheek given to me by Remus dried, leaving a sticky feeling against my skin. The black tights I wore were ripped from Remus and the neat braid I wore behind my head had become knotted, strands falling over my face. It was what I wore at a crime scene if I was working alongside detectives.

My job was to see what killed the person before they give me the information and evidence. It was a lot of work. I'd spent nights on days in the lab at times, sometimes I wouldn't come home. It was at the back of my mind that I'd have detectives wondering where I was.

"Remus will be fine." Sirius protested,

"You don't know that and I'm not taking that risk."

"Lil... We've got to go, me especially, Remus will be okay... I can't go to Azkaban again. They'll send you to Azkaban." He slipped off the hippogriff.

"Then go. I don't really care." I said, my voice cold. "I'm going to go find Remus."

"Lillian, wait." He protested, "Please."

"I need to find Remus. The moon's lowering. You need to get out of here and I'll find you. Right now, Remus needs me, and as I have for twelve years, I'm going to find him and help him."

"Lillian –"

"Ne vous battez pas avec moi là-dessus." I told him in a cold voice,

Don't fight me on this.

"fais attention. Je t'aime."

Be careful. I love you.

"Je te aime aussi." I replied,

I love you too

My wing faltered slightly, and the stinging pain of my forearm was almost unbearable, but I continued to ignore it, watching Sirius get back on the hippogriff while I soared the skies, searching for Remus. I had a ring that led me to him if we got separated on full moons. I found him as the sun had begun to rise.

He was on the ground, huddled in a ball in the forbidden forest. I collapsed beside him, pulling him to my chest. "I've got you." I whispered, holding his head, "Shh, it's okay, I've got you. It's okay." I reassured, letting his head rest on my shoulder. His clothes were ripped, and it was clear where Sirius had to attack him. "What happened?" He asked quietly, smothering a wince. He wrapped his sore arms around my waist, putting pressure on me.
