Kara flies as quickly as can after picking up their food. She's running late. She had promised Lena to be there at their normal lunchtime but ran into someone being mugged, and obviously, she stopped to help. Which then turned into dropping the guy off at the police station, and making a report. Now she's fifteen minutes late and on her way to Lena's office from the CEO's favorite restaurant in France. If she's going to be late, might as well be a little later and bring her favorite food as an apology.
"Kara! I was just about to call you." Lena greets once Kara lands on the balcony, giving the hero a hug. "Did something happen?" She asks, taking Kara's hand and leading her to the couch.
The blonde follows her girlfriend without question, setting the bag of food on the coffee table. "When I was on my way to Noonan's I found this guy being mugged and stopped to help. That turned into dropping him off and giving a statement..." She leads off as Lena opens the bag.
Lena had been nodding along as Kara was speaking until she realizes what's in the bag. "Was the mugging in France?" She jokes a bit as she pulls out the bowls with the familiar label of her favorite restaurant to visit in France.
Kara laughs at that, taking out the small box that held her favorite part, the baguette. "No, but I figured since I was a bit late anyway, I'd bring this as an apology."
"Kara." The raven-haired woman rests her palm on Kara's cheek, gently turning the hero to face her. "You don't have to apologize for helping people."

After eating their lunches, the pair remain seated on Lena's couch to chat, still having some time until Lena's lunch break is over.
"The guy who you saved is alright I assume." The CEO speaks, curling her legs underneath herself after putting the empty containers back in the bag.
Kara nods as she finishes her baguette. "He has some bruises, but he's fine. I didn't need to take him to the hospital or anything, which is good."
Lena smiles as she speaks. "Supergirl saves the day yet again." She says, clearly full of pride for her girlfriend.
The blonde laughs a bit. "Yeah, it feels good to be Supergirl. I get to use my powers to help people, instead of them just going to waste."
"You're amazing, Kara Zor-El." The raven-haired woman speaks softly, staring at the hero in front of her.
Kara just gets a massive grin on her face, she hasn't heard anyone refer to her as a 'Zor-El' in a long time now. "Thank you. You're pretty amazing yourself Lena Luthor." She speaks just as softly, leaning her head on Lena's shoulder.
Lena sighs lightly, resting her own head on top of Kara's. "I wish we had more time until my break is over."
"Well, why don't we make the best of the time we do have then? Before we both need to get back to work." The hero curls her arms around Lena, lightly pulling her closer.
The CEO hums in contentment, cuddling up against Kara's muscular, yet still somehow soft, figure, which gives her another idea. She moves her head off Kara's, her hands gravitating to Kara's cheeks, and she pulls the woman in for a kiss.
"This wasn't what I intended, but it's definitely welcome." Kara chuckles a bit into the kiss, her hands instinctually moving downward to Lena's hips. The raven-haired woman laughs lowly as well.
The kiss proceeds to deepen, tongues coming in to join as well. Just as things were about to go further...
Ring Ring
Both women pull away due to the sudden noise, Kara groaning as she dramatically flings herself backward to land on the couch. Lena giggles a little and looks at Kara apologetically, who quickly waves for her to take the call. If they're calling Lena's office directly, it must be important after all.
Once she takes a seat in her office chair, Lena picks up the phone, "Lena Luthor, how may I help you?" Kara can hear the person on the other side of the line speak timidly, and suspects it must be a newer employee.
The blonde gets up from the couch, moving towards Lena's desk. She opts to lean back against the desk a little, careful not to break it.
She hears Lena sigh a little before assuring the person, "It's alright Avery, you can transfer him over. If he wants to bother me during my lunch break this bad, it must be urgent."
Kara listens as the phone dials before someone else starts speaking. She tries not to listen to the business call, but can't help but overhear the booming voice.
The CEO rubs her head gently as she listens, shooting Kara another apologetic look. Kara only smiles softly in return, reaching over to gently scratch Lena's scalp, assuming the woman must be developing a headache.
This time, Kara is the one who develops an idea.
"No, Mr. Bass, those numbers are correct. The board doesn't believe it would be worthwhile, and I completely agreed with them." Lena speaks firmly to the man on the other end as the hero moves behind her chair, starting to kiss the woman's neck. The woman in question inhales sharply. Kara only continues, forcing Lena to mute the call while Mr. Bass continues complaining about his 'perfect idea' as she turns to her girlfriend. "You are playing a dangerous game, Ms. Zor-El." She husks lowly.
The blonde gives an innocent smile, watching as Lena takes the phone off mute when the man was done ranting.
"Lex may have approved of your anti-alien products, Mr. Bass, but I assure you, I don't." Lena speaks adamantly into the phone.
Kara turns the CEO's chair back towards the desk, now standing behind her once again. She goes back to Lena's neck, leaving more kisses in her wake, and even adding in a few bites this time.
The woman sighs at this as she leans back against her chair, grateful the man on the other line doesn't seem to be paying attention to anything but his own rants.
The hero slowly starts to make her bites harder, leaving behind some bruises. This is what drives Lena to finally interrupt the man. "I am willing to hear out your concerns with the board Mr. Bass, but it will need to wait until the meeting you scheduled." She says before hanging up and turning her chair once again to face Kara.
She just grins in response, looking as if she'd done nothing wrong, despite the look on Lena's face.
"That was just mean." Lena claims with her arms crossed.
Kara giggles a bit before responding. "Maybe a little. You love me anyway though." She points out as her girlfriend stands up.
The woman quickly agrees with a nod. "Yeah, you're lucky I do. Putting up with all your antics." The raven-haired woman mumbles, clearly not actually annoyed with the hero, as she gives her a kiss on the cheek.
"You missed." The blonde says with a pout, and Lena gets a big, genuine, grin on her face. She gives the woman a real kiss, pulling at Kara's bottom lip with her teeth, making her whimper.
"We can continue this later." Lena walks, more like struts, out of her office with all the confidence in the world. The hero only watches with a sappy smile, hoping she would keep that promise when later finally comes.
