Kara was hugging her father when a group of phantoms appears. They were heading straight for them. The ground started rumbling beneath them. Kara broke away from the hug, trying to fight off the phantoms. Her father was leading a few of them away, leaving Kara with four. Suddenly, Kara was pushed to the ground. She hit her head on a large rock, and the phantoms came closer, surrounding her.
Kara woke up with a gasp, she looked around, noticing she was no longer in the phantom zone. "Hey, you're ok. You're safe now." Lena says calmly from her chair.
"Lena?" The hero questions, still appearing very out of it.
"Yeah, it's me. Did you have a nightmare about the phantom zone?" Lena makes her way closer, now sitting on the hospital bed Kara had been sleeping in.
Kara pulls Lena into a hug as soon as she sits down. "It was so dark. They had me surrounded." Kara sobs, she was holding Lena as tight as she could without hurting her.
"Shh, you don't have to talk about it." Lena assures as she hugs her back.
They just sit together for a minute while Kara tries to calm down. "Thank you." Kara says softly, still leaning into Lena. She always feels comfortable with her.
"There's no need to thank me." Lena kept her arms around Kara. "It's only because you're on the team that I'm here. I'm pretty sure that deserves a 'thank you'." Kara turns a little in Lena's arms so she was facing her. She looks down briefly at Lena's lips before starting to lean forward-
The door opens. "Hey Lena, thanks for keeping an eye on Kar- WOAH!" Alex says once she looks up from her clipboard. "Let me know when I can come back in." Alex walks back out, closing the door behind her.
"Great timing, as always, Alex." Kara mutters.
Lena laughs, pulling Kara closer again. "I believe you were about to ask me something, Ms. Danvers?"
"Is it ok if I kiss you?" Kara asks nervously. Lena nods, bringing Kara into a soft kiss. When they eventually pull away, Kara has a massive smile on her face. "I've wanted to do that for a while." She reveals.
Alex could be heard cheering from the hallway. "Finally! It's about time you two got together!"
