Warning: This chapter gets sad. Mentions of death and serious infection are prevalent to the plot.

After wandering in the general direction of the castle for, what felt like hours, Morgana comes across a familiar sight. Now, invigorated with energy, she starts running home.

"Lady Morgana, are you alright?" One of the front guards greets her as she comes in from the tree line. "Where is Edwin?"

The woman nearly bursts into tears at the mention of the man, muttering that she has no idea where the man, or his daughter, are at currently, and that they had been attacked. The guard leads her inside.

"Morgana!" Uther's voice booms as he walks over to his ward, a look of worry on his face, which was weird for the man.

The younger woman allows him to hug her for a brief moment before rambling out, "We were attacked, and Marley got hit. Edwin was still fighting them off when I left, we need to send someone to help them." Morgana insists.

The king quickly shakes his head, his hands resting on Morgana's shoulders. "No, we can't afford to send any guards to help them at the moment, we need everyone here for tomorrow's battle. Edwin will have to manage on his own."

"You can't do that Uther! Edwin is one of your strongest guards, we must send someone to help him and Marley." Morgana tries, in utter disbelief of what Uther is telling her right now.

"He is one of my strongest guards." He quickly agrees before continuing. "Which is why I have full faith that he will return."

She lets out a scoff. "And if he doesn't?"

Uther turns to one of the other guards, and Morgana thinks for a moment that he will send someone after them. "Then we lost one guard as opposed to many." The man reasons coldly before walking away.

Morgana had been laying in her bed for days, only occasionally coming out for a short walk. Guinevere had been bringing her food and drinks back to her room so she wouldn't have to risk seeing Uther. To say Morgana was still upset with the king would be an understatement.

"My lady?"

She looks up suddenly at what had previously been a term of endearment from Marley, but was now seen as a simple title, to see Guinevere.

"They found her, they found Marley. She wishes to see you." The woman shares.

Morgana moves quicker than she ever had before, rushing to quickly get dressed before following Gwen to Marley.

She runs ahead slightly to the healer before asking, "Where is she? Is she alright?"

The healer appears to be slightly scared, before realizing who the woman was asking about. "Marley appears to have a severe infection, Lady Morgana. It may be best to say goodbye." The man speaks as gently as possible as he leads Morgana back to the side room for the patients.

Tears quickly appear in the woman's eyes upon seeing Marley's condition.

The brunette lies upon a makeshift bed, bloody cloths wrapped tightly around her wound as blue eyes drift open to meet green. "It's good to see you again, my lady." She huffs, clearly overexerted by merely speaking. This must be bad.

"I'll leave you two alone to speak." The healer announces before walking back out to the front.

Morgana cautiously walks closer to the woman's bedside. "You're ok." She states, obviously. The woman was curious about Edwin, but also wasn't sure she wanted to know.

Marley motions weakly for her to take a seat before grabbing the woman's hand. "I am. My father spent his last moments saving me." She tells her ambiguously, clearly not wanting to talk about it beyond that.

The king's ward quickly shushes Marley as she notices how much it takes for the woman to speak. "I tried. I tried to get Uther to send someone after you, but he wouldn't. I should have just gone after you mysel-"

Morgana is cut off by Marley gently cupping her cheek and bringing her into a quick kiss. "It's ok, my lady, we will meet again."

Marley sadly passed away a day later, due to complications from her infected wound. Upon learning this, Morgana devised a plan to kill the King for what he had done to her most beloved person, and it worked.

Many years later...

After building up her courage, by endlessly pacing in front of the woman's door until her legs got tired, Kara knocks on the familiar door.

A very comfy looking Lena opens the door cautiously. Upon realizing it was only Kara, she opens the door wider, motioning for her to come in. "Kara, I thought movie night was tomorrow?" She asks, worried she had mixed the dates up.

The blonde quickly shakes her head as she walks into the apartment. "That's not why I'm here, Lena. There's something I've been meaning to tell you."

A single dark eyebrow raises up at this revelation, "Kara, you've already told me that you're Supergirl." Lena states teasingly, wanting to get rid of Kara's obvious nerves.

She lets out a breathy laugh, her hands moving to her pockets as she speaks, "Not that either." Kara informs with a little grin, grateful for the distraction. "Lena, I like you."

The CEO looks a bit baffled by that information.

"Not really like, per say, I... I love you, Lena Luthor."

Morgana and Marley stare down at the two with fondness, their hands linked together as they watch the confession. "I told you that we would meet again, my lady." Marley states before pecking the raven-haired womans cheek.
