Kara rolls her eyes as she looks down at her phone.

Me: We're all going down to the pool to relax before dinner. You should join us!

Lena❤: Thanks for the offer, I need to get some work done for my college classes though.

Only Lena Luthor would spend her senior trip working on college. She gestures for the others to go ahead, Nia, Brainy, Sam, and Jess seem hesitant but walk to the elevator knowing Kara was the only one who could possibly convince the young woman to come down.

National City Highschool runs a few different events throughout the year that are always run by the seniors. It's pretty hard work when combined with their classes, but the end result is well worth it: A week off school right before finals to the area's biggest water/amusement park. Whatever amount of money the seniors collectively earn from the events determines the type of passes they're allowed to get, as well as the hotel rooms. It all seems pretty fair to Kara.

Kara makes sure to double-check the room number before knocking.

"Kara, I seriously need to finish up my research paper before I can relax." Lena sighs as she opens the door. She must have seen her through the peephole.

The blonde dutifully follows as Lena walks to her bed, quickly going back to her writing. "It's our senior trip, Lena, you need to actually enjoy it. I thought you said this paper isn't due for another week anyway." She tells her girlfriend as she takes a seat on the bed.

Lena nods lightly in response. "It's due next Thursday. I'm almost done with it though, and I would much rather get it done now than stress out over it the whole trip." She shares her reasoning.

"Ok, that makes sense. Anything I can do to help you get it done faster?" Kara offers.

The younger woman smiles appreciatively. "Just keep me company?" She requests softly.

Kara does just that. She pulls out her phone, listening to some music in her earbuds, her head lying across Lena's thighs.

She'd been laying like that for a few hours, just about to fall asleep, when she hears a groan.

"No, no, no!" Lena half yells and half whines, as she aggressively taps the trackpad of her laptop. "Stupid piece of shit." She grumbles to herself as she throws herself back against her bed with a huff.

Kara briefly wonders if Lena's back is ok with how aggressively she fell back against her pillow, but decides there are more pressing matters at hand. "What did that computer ever do to you?" She questions.

Lena crosses her arms over her face, clearly very upset. "I just lost my whole conclusion." She confides.

"I'm sorry. Maybe you can get it back somehow." Kara suggests.

"Nope." The raven-haired woman says, popping the p. "Word decided it wanted to crash on me, and now I lost my last three paragraphs."

The blonde furrows her eyebrows. "You're conclusion was three paragraphs long?"

Lena hums affirmatively, sitting up so she could turn the laptop around to face Kara. "The paper needs to be eight pages total."

"Eight pages?" Kara questions incredulously as she scrolls through the many paragraphs of words she most likely doesn't understand with wide eyes. "Right, we're getting you out of this hotel room." She insists.

"Kara, it's just a few more par-"

"No." Lena is visibly stunned by her girlfriend quickly cutting her off. "You're going to come down to the pools with me, and we're going to go around the lazy river so many times you'll get dizzy." The blonde states as she gets up and walks over to Lena's suitcase.

Lena shakes her head lightly as she watches Kara rifle through her things, eventually pulling out her swimsuit. "Seriously darling, I only need to write up a summary and explain the significance of my findings, this is the easiest part."

Kara tosses the swimsuit at Lena before turning around to allow her some privacy. "You'll be able to do it just as easily tomorrow then. Tonight, we relax and enjoy the waterpark."

"And where is your swimsuit then, Ms. Danvers?" The youngest Luthor husks as she begins to change. Clearly, Kara isn't going to change her mind, she might as well just give in now.

"I have mine on under the sweater." She informs the younger woman, respectfully waiting until Lena says it's ok for her to turn around.

_______________

Everyone in their little group of friends cheers when they notice the couple walking toward the chairs they had claimed.

"Oh my god, I never thought I'd see the day Lena Luthor participates in a senior trip." Jess states, causing Lena to roll her eyes.

Sam joins in as well, "It's a modern day miracle."

Lena sighs loudly, clearly exaggerating her anger a bit. "I was going to participate regardless, I was just trying to finish up a research paper for one of my college classes."

"Even her laptop wanted her to take a break, apparently." Kara jokes with a small grin.

The younger woman laughs sarcastically. "Are we actually going to enjoy the park, or would all of you prefer to sit here and make fun of my misery?"

The laughter eventually dies down and everyone goes off to the different rides the waterpark has to offer them.
