Carnival

"Kara, I'm telling you, It's fine." Lena tells her girlfriend once again. Kara puts on her famous puppy eyes and pout combo.

"But you said you wanted it; I want to win it for you." She says adamantly, speaking about the plush rabbit hanging up in the games stall at the local carnival. Lena had passingly mentioned that it was cute, and Kara instantly turned back and tried to win it for the CEO. She probably would have spent less money just buying one at the store than she has attempting to knock down the bottles, but that was fine. It was for Lena, after all. 

"Your donuts are going to get cold." The brunette mentions, shaking the bag of sugary donut bites. 

"One more try?" Kara attempts to convince her favorite person, wanting to win it for her like boyfriends had done for their girlfriends in the TV shows she had watched growing up. That was the whole point of this date. Kara and Lena had been going on all the cliche dates that people do on the big screen. It was all mainly the blonde's idea, but Lena had to admit that she loved all the dates too. She could never say no to Kara.

"Ok, go for it." Lena gives in, taking a sip of the giant lemonade Kara also insisted on. Kara hands the carnival vendor another five bucks, and he hands her the three balls. 

"Good luck kiss?" The normally tough CEO rolls her eyes lightly before giving Kara a quick kiss.

With a giant smile on her face, the blonde takes a deep breath and aims before throwing the ball. She knocks four of the six bottles down from the first tower. She takes the second ball and knocks down the other two. Kara only had one ball left, and she had to knock down the whole other tower to get the big prize. She looks around casually and decides to utilize her powers as not many people were near them at the moment. She uses slightly more than normal human strength and knocks down the second tower with one ball.

"Congrats lady, you can pick one big prize or two mediums." The vendor monotonously says. She looks back at Lena.

"Choose your prize milady." The blonde says with an accent, bowing. Lena shakes her head with a low chuckle.

"You're cute." The brunette tells her girlfriend, handing her the donuts and lemonade to choose her prize. Kara gladly takes them and eats one of the still-warm donuts. Lena takes the giant rabbit down from the hook as Kara looked at her with pride. She won it for her. 

The pair walks around for a bit and find somewhere to sit, the rabbit sitting next to them on the bench. They split the donut bites and lemonade before Kara gets really excited, pointing to just behind them.

"Lena! There's a Ferris Wheel! Can we do it before we go?" Kara says, bouncing in her seat. This was the main thing she was hoping to achieve on this date, a kiss on top of the Ferris Wheel. Lena looks at the Ferris Wheel for a moment. It appeared to be built fairly well, not like those cheap ones that're typically at the week-long carnivals. Even if it had been, she knew Kara would Kara would keep her safe.

"Yeah, we can go on the Ferris Wheel."

After finishing their food and lemonade, the pair get into line. Fortunately, they don't have to wait too long before loading on to one of the seats. Kara and Lena both look around at the fairgrounds below them as they slowly spin to the highest point. As if they really were in one of those cheesy rom-coms or romance books, the ride stops just as they reach the top to load up another cart of people.

"Thank you for today, Kara, this was a really nice distraction from work."

"No problem. I'm glad I could help you de-stress." Kara puts her arm around Lena and lightly pulls her closer, making Lena smile a bit.

"I can see what you're doing Ms. Danvers." She says lowly.

"Is this ok?" 

Lena answers by cupping Kara's face and pulling her into a kiss.
